I think Correa kind of took a hit in everyone’s mind when he essentially got exposed as having a degenerative condition. Like a Matt Kemp, or more recently Mike Trout. Obvious he was still be able to get a contract in the end, but stigma is kind of there.

I will say, now that Bo doesn’t steal, he’s basically way overrated in obp leagues. Dynasty rankings are based on 5x5 but with obp he sinks obviously

There is nothing I hate more than someone explaining to me why I need the player they’re offering. It’s as close to an auto decline as possible

Agreed.

Geez Spanky losing his cool haha. Chill brother!

You're a stubborn GM to deal with sometimes. You have it in your head Bo is an elite fantasy superstar and always will be, even if there are signs of concern with his bat.

Like Connor said, Bo is quite overrated anyways in rankings given they only account for 5x5. In a league that uses OBP, his value takes a bit of a hit and since he doesn't steal much, he has to pretty much hit above .300+ with 25-30 HR's to be considered an elite bat.

Yes... it's funny too, this is our conversation on Bo in FT, and he's still chasing me down on BJMB to tell me I'd be so far as lucky he's offering Correa for the next Baez... lol

Snake-oil salesman.

Buddy you need to chill haha. No need to copy and paste a conversation on Fantrax. I don't understand what this proves lol.

That you're bothering me, quite simple. Why follow me on here about the offer? Don't poke the bear, meat. You told me I was lucky I was getting offered a player on someone I was NEVER selling. Again, why do you want Bo over Correa? I'm chill, I just call out s*** when I smell it.

It it far more likely Bo returns to being a top 25 hitter than he becomes Baez

If he's so bad, why do you want him so much

I explained that in a previous post.

Given my position, I'm willing to roll the dice on a bounce back season from Bo. His struggles this season don't affect my team at all. Whereas someone who is contending, a struggling Bo isn't helping them and Correa as an upgrade given his results thus far, the league scoring settings and given his age, isn't a bad option to ponder.

I'm not following you about the offer. You kept adding fuel to the conversation lol.

Bo's value is certainly down, but not near the extent some of you folks think.

You should really consider taking Carlos Correa in the LOD.

That comment above had zero to do with our league, nothing. You kept it up Silvio, days later, while smack talking Bo, go piss up a rope.

Correa might've just broke his hand, lol. :P

Kinda sad you're happy to see an MLB ballplayer getting injured, possibly break their hand.

He's supposed to be back in the lineup tomorrow.

Can't take a joke geez. You kept adding fuel to the discussion after that and even posted chat messages from Fantrax.

I wasn't smack talking Bo at all haha. Never knew that pointing out his struggles this season and the fact that his offensive profile is similar to Javier Baez is smack talking him.

Good for him, great news.

Mods. This should be a ban.

Come on man you've been obsessing over the dude for months so it's only fair he returns fire every so often.

Just so we’re clear you condone this type of language if it’s retaliatory in nature?

Comparing Bo to Baez offensively is a joke. Whiff and K percentages aren't in the same area code. Both chase and are free swingers - but Bo's contact skills are a massive difference.

I just thought he was going for a swim on hot, humid weekend. Seemed positive to me.

The type of language used and intention isn't a joking matter.

I don't care if they throw shots or jabs back at me, though not using or joking about something considered a sensitive matter.

I think if Horwitz can stick at second (and so far at in a very small sample size he's done well), I have more confidence with him being a consistent contributor over DS for the next few years. I've said it before but his profile is definitely precarious, especially compared to a 2B version of Horwitz.

Schneider can still be valuable though as like a better version of Biggio and he'll get a decent number of ABs playing all around the field. He does have similar concerns to Biggio though and people have forgotten how high everyone was on him after his first couple of seasons.

I heard them talking yesterday that Horwitz likes playing 2nd better and feels his bat gives him a chance to be an all-star at 2nd base. He said when he plays 1st base, he tries to hit for more power, which probably isn't best for his production. It seems almost unheard of for someone who played just 18 games at 2nd base in his minor league career (and never played SS or 3rd) to step in and be a passible 2nd baseman almost immediately. Pretty impressive stuff.

I always figured he might be passable at LF and allow Schneider more time at 2b. But in a season like this, it makes sense to see what he can do at 2b. Build up the small sample size.

If Horwitz is a passable/average 2B, then that’s a much better outcome for him and the team than if he were a 1B/DH. His bat obviously plays better at 2B and if the team decides to extend Vlad (which I still expect to happen) then it’s a better roster fit as well. Still too small of a defensive sample though.

I'm not sure if Horwitz even has the necessary foot speed to handle left field. His sprint speed is surprisingly only a touch above Alejandro Kirk (24.8 ft/s for Horwitz vs 24.7 ft/s for Kirk).
