Clement is cheap and hasn't really had much of a chance. There's a possibility he comes back next year as a cheap bench option if he shows something this year. Plus, once we add another lefty in Horwitz he might have a role to get some spot starts when one of our many fringe lefties is sitting.

Biggio would make less sense in that regard as he's also a fringe lefty. He's also starting to get expensive, I just don't see how he comes back next year with what he's due to get in arb.

Vogelbach could get the boot as well as whatever playing time he gets would likely be soaked up by Horwitz. He has been playing and batting cleanup though. Biggio hasn't really been playing at all.

Tough to say, I think Biggio is getting dumped but wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the other two either.

or is it because the pitches off the plate at the outside corner are being called strikes by umpires and not by ABS?

Exactly. And they play week long series where u see the same dog s*** rp 3x a series

Hope it's Biggio getting the boot.

Or maybe traded to Oakland and part of the deal is Toronto had to fly him there so Oak saves $1000 on the ticket?

Clement just has better tools and upside. Hit tool is good. Some defensive chops and speed (ignore the recent yips...)

I could be way wrong as this as my outfield experience is limited to bad softball leagues, but is LF really that different from RF that the skills don't translate easily?

Your intuition is right, no it’s not

It’s corner outfield not running wide receiver routes

It’s gotta be Vogelbach getting the boot. No way it’s Biggio

I don’t see anyway to argue Biggio deserves a spot on the roster over Vogelbach. We have backups for all the IF positions already, Biggio is redundant.

If the FO needs someone to bat 9th and watch strike 3 every at bat, i’ll do it for $1000 a game

Horwitz gets the call, I remember watching him closely in spring training thinking he really had a chance then goes 5 for 40 and it was right back to AAA. I wonder what changed?

Horowitz and Barger should be replacing Vogelbach and Biggio on the roster. Whatever order they want to make those changes is up to them, but that should be goal.

His name is Cavin.

It’s like in junior hockey where your dad played in the NHL so you stick on the team until you’re 20

He’s surviving on name value at this point

I like how Horwitz is an infielder and Biggio is a utility player

Clearly an upgrade LOL

The move makes sense. Too bad, I rooted for Biggio.

Of course. Wanted to see him succeed, badly, but it just wasn't happening.

I guess the Horwitz at bats will be a trial, see how he does. If good, and the team continues to suck, then trade off the designated hitters and bring up Barger.

Sucks especially since Manoah looked like he was going to have a bounce back season.

It's not a very important move, and it's very marginal but I'm wondering why everyone is pleased it's Biggio and not Vogelbach when Biggio has at least consistently had positive value as a utility player and Vogelbach is pretty bad and provides nothing when he doesn't hit?
