Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Change of scenery might do him well. I'd certainly be kicking the tires to see what teams would give up for him. He's a loser.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Vlad is at the heart of all this, dude has been straight up awful this year and majority of his career. And he's going to the All Star game lol
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Imagine going to this game tonight and knowing the highlight of the game was double fisting mediocre Hot Dogs Link?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Change of scenery might do him well. Tampa would diagnosis him in a month and he would become the elite hitter hes supposed to be, Jays org is just kind of dog s*** clearly.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Blue Jays lead the American League with 191 strikeouts with runners in scoring position Its a coaching mentality

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Still waiting for these RISP numbers to normalize lol It's pretty crazy. We are 6th in the league in overall wRC+ and OPS+. About 109 and 110 for each I believe. Not sure where this ranks among the league but our OPS+ with RISP is 86. That's about what the Oakland A's are hitting on the season. No idea what is going on but it's dragging us down to about 11th in MLB in runs.

They're 25th in RISP it'll normalize eventually it's a lot of s*** luck, HR's for and against is reallly our achilles heal, overall. This team should be hitting way more HR's and giving up way less in the pitching department.

Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Change of scenery might do him well. Really sucks but for the good of him, and the game need to get him to a good franchise. Life of a Toronto Blue Jays fan, greatest prospect ever will leave for another team, still young and become a legend. Will hit .340 52 125 with 120 walks first year away from Jays. Commissioner should intervene and transfer him to Atlanta and fine the Jays 200 million for ruining a legend. Vladdy stats Toronto 2023 .271 22 98 traded to Atlanta, signed to 10 year 150 million dollar contract based on Jays stats... HAtlanta 2024 .344 54 144 Reuinted with Alex Anthopoulos brings Braves fans so much joy, so much happiness. Spends age 25-42 seasons with them setting all kinds of records beating hammering Hank in tonnes of categories. Bo/Vlad playoff wins with Jays = 0 Vlad playoff wins with Atlanta 2024-2040 = 89 Bo playoff wins with Red Sox 2026-2041 = 75

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 This team is just not fun to watch at all this year.

Seems to me there is an issue with the entire hitting philosophy for the team in RISP scenarios

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 They won 15-20 coming into tonight, red hot. But isn't this supposed to be an easy part of the schedule?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Author Posted June 28, 2023 But isn't this supposed to be an easy part of the schedule? Relatively, yes. SOS is a real thing, man.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Hopefully the Jays could take the other two games, but Giants going with Webb tomorrow and another TBD for Thursday.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Author Posted June 28, 2023 Hopefully the Jays could take the other two games, but Giants going with Webb tomorrow and another TBD for Thursday. It'll be an opener followed by Chicken Strip, or Alex Cobb, please be the former.

I remember they beat Strider this season at the dome. Hopefully they can get to Webb tomorrow. Annoying though that someone like Alex Wood shuts them down, but tomorrow they probably score 3-4 runs off Webb and win 5-3 haha.
