    At least Kirk offers defensive value. Fatty Grounbollo is a 1st baseman that can’t get the ball out of the infield and is paid a crippling 500 M contract.

    I’ll be happy just with some hard contact to the outfield. There are slumps and then there’s this complete suckage. We’re paying 500 M to a player that can’t get balls out of the infield ? Anyone from the minor leagues could do better.

    Max deal is one year. I’m more worried about the multi year 500 million invested on a 1st baseman that can’t get the ball out of the infield.

    Is there something wrong with Vlad ? Still hasn’t hit anything hard (let alone out of the infield) in more than a week ?

    Vlad is slugging under 0.100 since returning to the lineup. No HRs, no extra base hits, one single ? Can someone explain this other than that he’s not fully heeled, which doesn’t make sense since he’s at 1st today ?

    I feel the same way. That contract and watching the giggling buffoon are depressing. Barger earns a tiny fraction and provides infinitely more.

    VGJ being an all star over Springer, Barger is comical. The Jays won’t go far with fake superstar as our number three hitter and 1st baseman. We deserve much better.,
