Casual Fan Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Is this guy even better than Montoyo? I don't like Montoyo, but Schneider seems to make more silly mistakes. I thought Montoyo was hired because they thought he might have learned some creative stuff from Madden, but it was proven to be not. Schneider was created in the same mold, so, he is just Montoyo version 2. I still don't understand why T Francona was not hired
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Why white over Bass? that is a key question to understand the Blue Jays organization. If you can’t answer that question yourself idk what to tell you
Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 It would be understandable to be glass half full is they have exceptional prospects and futures who are waiting in the minors And this team are in a rebuild prior to the offseason But they are not The moves by Atkins are way below average

Are you guys really this dense you can’t see what’s going on???
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Siddall did not like getting talked over by Shipman, lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Lots of dude's on the IL are getting quoted...
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Looks like another John Schneider master class today.
el duque Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 If you can’t answer that question yourself idk what to tell you Frankly I can't, some people here are suggesting a political reason but I don't heard that from the professional commentators on TV talking about the game right now, I could speculate perhaps many players do not like Bass and is good to get rid of him, that could explain why White over him
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Well atleast Kevin Gausman is pitching tomorrow. That’s something to look forward to!
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Offense can’t go enough to take the pressure off the pitching staff. Brutal

White is 7 years younger, controllable through 2027, and has been a reasonably effective swingman in MLB so far. And non-baseball stuff probably also played a role. Bass isn't good enough to get much rope if management perceives that he's making more work for them for non baseball reasons.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Everyone take the over in total Gausman K's tomorrow. I think he might break his personal record. I'm feeling 15 K's tomorrow.

Jays333 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Wow what a braindead decision to put Cimber in when Francis was doing just fine. Why can't we just have a manager who does the right thing. And why the f*** are we making this guy manager based on a half a season sample size when this is suppose to be win now. Being a fan of this organization sometimes just hurts.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Say what you want about the bullpen/managing, but the offense really hasn't truly "gone off" much this season at all. The general power outage is getting rather noticeable.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Another L at the hands of the worst bullpen pitchers in baseball...Cimber and White should be in indy ball
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Blame Vlad for that He’s definitely a big part of the problem. I’m not sure how to explain the questionable approach that we see up and down the lineup though.  Team ISO is 16th in MLB at .159, and with the hitters on this team that is just not where it should be. This team should be pushing .170-.180 Yes, losing Teo hurts that a bit, but more impacting is multiple players vastly underperforming their talent levels.

Although it seems like the ball is dead or something.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Wasn't able to watch the game today, glad I didn't. Has any front office, at least of the so-called contending teams, done a worse job with their starting pitching depth in the last couple of seasons than this one? Every 5th day is going to be hold your breath and pray. Our already mediocre bullpen is going to get further exposed and fatigued.

Having Cimber pitch the 8th with nobody other than White to come in to rescue him was pretty awful bullpen management.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
