Optioning Francis was stupid as f***, unless they have a phantom injury in the works.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You were right. Francis is back.

Seems like they might have been able to avoid the IL with Belt but this way they can bring Francis back and just make sure Belt's hammy is fully healed before bringing him back.

They obviously knew Cimber was about to have a baby as well, so Belt gets minimum rest and Cimber can take the 3 days. Makes sense.

No. This is obviously a phantom baby list placement until Cimber figures out why he sucks now. There is no way in hell Cimber can impregnate any woman given how much his balls are missing the target these days.

So what are we going to do for the next bullpen game?

I guess use the same plan as last time with Richards but we won't have Francis. So I guess Hatch or White are going to have to go multiple innings?

Once Francis is back it would seem like this plan could work ok moving forward but one of them is going to have to be able to pitch the other days or else Francis is going to have to keep being optioned for a fresh arm.

There won’t be a next bullpen game for the next start. Gaussman will pitch on five days rest. By the time the following bullpen start comes up Francis will be back up because 10 days will have a elapsed.

They seem to like to give the starters an extra day when they can. Also, Francis is already back as they are allowed to bring someone back sooner if another player hits the IL.

I don’t think they would have an issue with Gausman pitching on five days rest. I think that was the plan before belt got hurt, and Francis got recalled.

Atkins gamed the system there by sending Francis down for Hatch to have a fresh arm, then recalling Francis knowing Cimber would be on paternity leave.

Shoutout to Mrs. Cimber for the assist!

Francis will have to go back down before Manoah's slot. They may option Hatch and formally call up Francis for Friday.

Yeah they get 3 days on Cimber. Can they option Hatch at that point? Or does Francis have to be the one to be optioned back because of the 10 day rule?

Or can they technically use Belt's IL stint as the way to recall Francis? Or does it have to be a hitter for him?

I'm not an expert on this but I think they have to formally send down Francis when Cimber returns (doesn't count as an option).

Honestly I don't even think they can recall Francis when Cimber comes back. You have to spend 15 days in the minors before you can be recalled.

Nope, you can move any player down at that time

You know if we did decide to blow it up, there's a lot of capital we can recoup with the players on this team. The earlier we blow it up, the quicker we can rebound the organization in my opinion.

Just saying.

But IF we do, it had better not be this front office.

Some of the posters who were *******s to me for expressing pessimism about our front office in the past are hopefully starting to come to the realization that they've been sold a s*** sandwich.

If not, well then hey I hear there's an orange guy in a whole lot of legal trouble south of the border who could use some money for his defense fund, I'm sure you've already donated though but that doesn't mean you can't donate again!

Let's get real for a minute.

Despite what you think, Atkins f***s up. A lot.

-f***ed up on the Morales contract.

-f***ed up on the Roark contract.

-f***ed up the Jaime Garcia contract.

-Gambled and lost on Yates, despite concerning medical reports on him.

-f***ed up by giving Randall that contract extension. Those that raised the alarm were attacked by the *******s.

-Traded Happ for Billy McKinney and Brandon Drury.

-Traded Stroman for Kay and SWR, the Mets 4th and 6th ranked prospects at that time. Stroman had a sub 3.00 era pitching in the AL East at the time.

-f***ed up the Donaldson situation.

-Overpaid Kikuchi as a free agent.

-Can't build a shutdown bullpen.

-f***ed up the Mitch White/Frasso trade. A few of us voiced alarm but we're shouted down by the *******s.

-f***ed up the Varsho trade. A few of us voiced alarm but we're shouted down by the *******s.

-f***ed up the Anthony Bass situation. Turned it into a PR nightmare.

And that's all just off the top of my head. There's more.

The drafting and development is a joke, especially after the way they threw AA under the bus for supposedly stripping the farm bare.

At least AA could f***ing build a good farm system, and quickly. He was able to sell the farm for the 2013 makeover, and then able to build it back up again in time to acquire Tulo & Price in 2015. And at least his playoff teams were built to win a playoff game.

This FO preached building a sustainable winner that would be keyed around having a steady pipeline of prospects and then resigning them.

Well 8 years in and the farm system blows, we have a luxury tax payroll that is by far the highest team payroll ever, yet we don't have any homegrown talent signed long term. We've had to consistently bring in FA talent from outside the organization because we can't develop talent. This is exactly the s*** they said they wouldn't have to do!

When Atlanta won it's first division title under AA the *******s here talked about how he was gifted a great team and didn't want to give him any credit. Well the Braves are on the way to be a perfect 6/6 in winning division titles under his watch, and they won a world series. And their future looks extremely bright still!

How many times do Spanky and gang have to be wrong before they eat some f***ing crow? Instead you bully and belittle people who don't agree that our team has been run poorly since AA was driven out by Shapiro.

Even in the dark days of the late 90s and early 2000s, at least we had Delgado and Halladay who were a pleasure to watch. This team is annoying as hell to watch.

Baltimore has passed us like we're standing still despite a payroll that is less than 1/3 of ours.

The team needs a rebuild, and this front office better have nothing to do with it.

I've been a die hard fan since 1988 and always will be a Blue Jays fan only, but I think I feel worse about this team's future than I ever have.

/End rant.

I won't be posting here anymore as I'm going to try and take a step back. I've spend too much of my free time on this team. Too many wasted nights. I'm not going to renew my season tickets next year either.

I'll pop by from time to time to read the remaining *******s' rainbow and sunshine posts whenever I need a good laugh. Hopefully some of you come around on this and start to shout down the remaining *******s but I'm not wasting anymore of my time on them.

Enjoy the taste of s*** *******s, especially you Spanx. There's a massive sandwich filled with s*** with your name on it bud. You're a troll, always have been, always will be.

If you stayed with me through to the end of this post you know I'm not all wrong.

Preach! They built a good team, not a championship caliber team and considering the state of the farm and the payroll, that's completely inexcuseable.

I would generally agree with that post if it didn't have so much extra nonsense and just stated the facts. Atkins has been subpar at putting together a winner and has left the farm in bad shape. Full stop.

Some of the posters who were *******s to me for expressing pessimism .....

You think you were the first person to be skeptical about Atkins? I got news for you, Gruber has been s***ing on Atkins since 2019! Two years before you even started posting. The difference is he doesn't come on here crying about people who have differing views. You have a victim complex.

You call everyone else "*******s" multiple times because you think you're right. You know what? A lot of us have been right about a lot of things but don't beat our chests about it.

Then you beat the drums about how Baltimore has passed us. Baltimore has been a s*** stain organization since the mid eighties. They're ascending right now, but just wait.

I get that you're frustrated by how much this team is underachieving. We all are. It's a long season and things may get worse. A team touted as a maybe winning the East may not make even make the wildcard. Newsflash: WE ALL KNOW THIS.

If you go to the preseason poll where we ask if this years team has a better offense than 2022 (you know, the one you didn't participate in) a lot of us (myself included) said that this years team had a better offense than last years team. You know who didn't think so? Spanky. The guy you call a homer.

So turn down the condescension for a few posts and maybe you'll get some respect the old fashioned way: by earning it.

Hell yeah

The AA team in 2015 definitely was built better to contend for a World Series. Even the 2016 team as well (Atkins inherited). So far Atkins hasn't built a team that looks like a World Series contender unfortunately.

In 2021, Jays miss the Postseason by one game. In 2022, they lose two in a row at home against the Mariners. So far in 2023, looks like the Jays will be fighting for the WC No. 3 seed. Seems like the Maple Leafs. High expectations and hype at the beginning of every season, but disappointment always at the end.

2015 was definitely the chance. I thought we flat out had the best team left standing. That was the f***ing year. The Brett Cecil injury basically ended our season. f***ing needed him against the Royals and their voodoo ********.
