L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Brewers reportedly close to extending Chourio. Really interesting. Get your money young man
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 What the O's should be doing with Halliday but won't because they are stupid, thankfully Vlad and Bo scenario where financial security probably isn’t the driving force
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Why spend more money when less money do trick? This statement hss been sponsored by the Rays lol
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Reds give Emilio Pagan 2/16 I feel like every org has a dozen guys in their system who are as good as him
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Reds give Emilio Pagan 2/16 I feel like every org has a dozen guys in their system who are as good as him His career has not exactly been consistent. Good, bad, good, bad, bad, bad, good. But the most recent "good" even has a 4.57 xFIP. Jays probably should have just gone with the three years on Chad Green

The Emilio Pagan signing makes Atkins looks like a genius for signing Green.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 This is who the Reds spend money on? Dumn And yeah Chad Green on two years 21 mil is looking like a steal
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 hes not bad, pretty durable and smooth delivery
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 that was a great contract gamble
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Author Posted November 29, 2023 As expected, the Rays annual fire sale is about to begin. Arozarena and Glasnow for sure.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Fricken Rays. They lost Franco, now they'll probably trade Arozarena and Glasnow yet still win 90+ games next season.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Randy would be a great fit in LF for us. I wonder what he'd cost the Jays (and if TB would trade within the division)

Yeah, and then still get bounced in the first round or two of the playoffs when they can't cycle through 35 roster players over a 5 game series. They've truly mastered the regular season matchups/platoons/fresh arms system but come playoffs that's not an advantage anymore.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Author Posted November 29, 2023 Randy would be a great fit in LF for us. I wonder what he'd cost the Jays (and if TB would trade within the division) They would if they got what they wanted. He's got 3 years of control left too so the price would be pretty darn steep. Give them Manoah to start and guaranteed he'd actually win the Cy next season.

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Randy would be a great fit in LF for us. I wonder what he'd cost the Jays (and if TB would trade within the division) They’re not going to trade him unless they think think they’re getting someone cheaper and about as good
MikeM3 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Arozarena has never had as good of a season as Teo had with us. Hard to believe. But just shows how non elite he is.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Author Posted November 29, 2023 They’re not going to trade him unless they think think they’re getting someone cheaper and about as good Dodgers would be a decent landing place for him. Tigers, Mariners maybe?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Arozarena has never had as good of a season as Teo had with us. Hard to believe. But just shows how non elite he is. You mean he's never topped the 4.3 WAR season Teo had in 2021 (when he was the 28th most valuable hitter in baseball)? I mean, OK, but that doesn't mean he's chopped liver. He's a very solid player though, but yes, not exactly a superstar (despite all his antics)
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Fricken Rays. They lost Franco, now they'll probably trade Arozarena and Glasnow yet still win 90+ games next season. Great example of why we should trade Vlad now!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 He won’t get $50m AAV. Do you want to bet, meatsack? He's getting north of 500M, ya dingleberry.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Great example of why we should trade Vlad now! Yeah, problem with that is he spent the last 6 months being barely replacement level and has kind of sucked for two seasons now.
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Braves getting Cease would be so predictable lol

Arozarena is 29 in Feb. I think we’ll see him drop from a 20-20 player to 15-15 or 15-10 pretty quick. He’s seemed to out perform his xAVG and xSLG his past few years as well. Might not even get 10sb with another team, he’s not an efficient base stealer.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 The MLBN should do like a top 50 trade target show or something, thur dumn. Are there credible list's from sites? Hmmm...
