G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 As frustrating as the Blue Jays season has been at least the Yankees season has been infinitely worse with an even higher payroll. Pretty rough year for both New York teams

You really should have learned your lesson after the first, and his history is going to be super relevant to the case and to what MLB and the Dodgers do.

AMS528 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Let’s wait to see the evidence Yeah of course. Just noting the history, and if it is true that's very stupid on his part to be in this situation again. Last time around he was charged, there was not much doubt that he was in an altercation and shoved the woman to the ground. There were witnesses who stated they saw it. The reason it didn't go further was because the woman didn't want it to and claimed she just fell. He just had to do some counselling. There's going to be less skepticism for him because of the history.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Watching Cole Ragans right now. Dude is sitting 99 from the left side with an unhittable change and a slider and Texas decided he was expendable for a couple months of Aroldis Chapman.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Another one bites the dust. See ya later Urias

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Who is going to be the racist and say how it’s imbedded in the culture? Not me. One of you knuckleheads will go there though
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 $50,000 bond for Urias. That's really high.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 $50,000 bond for Urias. That's really high. Could be due to the fact he’s a multi-millionaire. Won’t know until there’s more details
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Anyone else surprised at how mediocre a season Urias was having? I just looked his stats up expecting him to be at 3-4 WAR with an ERA around 3
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 You just did, you invalid. There’s a tsunami coming your way. Shut your mouth and batten down your hatches

Nursehoneybadger Verified Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) 27m career earnings is pretty good, he will be ok. The rage from having a bad season and costing yourself 10s of millions probably is just a phenomenon in baseball that makes these guys want to hit women. It seems to be pitchers who cant control themselves. This incident was 2 days after his terrible start where he was getting boo'd by his home fans. Edited September 4, 2023 by Nursehoneybadger

We traded Jeff Kent for a couple of months of David Cone. No regrets because we won a world series. If they win a world series it will be the same for them.

Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 chapman has also blown 3 saves already for them and is a known playoff choker He's an elite arm and they desperately needed the bullpen help. They couldn't have expected to go on this horrible slide that they are on, it's still hard to imagine that they won't make the postseason, but if they ever did, if they have a healthy enough rotation they will be really dangerous.

Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Gio started tonight yikes haha. Imagine being picked up by a team in an effort to make a last-ditch effort at the division and immediately blowing their entire playoff hopes. It was a long shot anyway but Cleveland needed this sweep and Gio blew it in less than an hour's work.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 It’s kinda crazy the Cubs are firmly in the playoff picture. Everyone thought they should sell at the deadline

Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 yea right around the Beli trade rumors they went on an 8 game winning streak, then decided to change course They aren't as good as Los Angeles or Atlanta but in a short series, they have the pieces to upset a great team.
