They just lost to the White Sox. I'm not saying they are going to start getting swept but they aren't going to rack up the wins they need during this stretch and then when the schedule toughens up again they'll really fall apart.

Raleigh is good, JP has been great, Suarez is still solid, Teo is turning it on, Ty France is better than what he’s shown… Brash, Munoz and Sewald all great out of the pen. Plus the dynamite rotation.

Franco and the MLBPA haven't appealed or disputed his move to the restricted list, which indicates that the allegations are valid and that MLB has evidence they could provide to an independent arbitrator.

 

I'll reserve further judgment until more information comes out, but that was easily the most interesting development so far in my opinion.

Rotation is good and Julio is good and maybe that's enough to keep them in it with the weak remaining schedule.

 

But the bullpen isn't as good as you think. They traded Sewald and the rest of the young guys have struggled to step up in his absence. Trent Thornton logs meaningful innings for them now.

 

The other guys you mention are okay and not exactly who I mean when I say they suck. But even so, some of them can barely get their OBP's over .300 and others can't slug .400 (even at power positions). Given how s***** the rest of the team is they all bat 1-5 in the lineup on a consistent basis.

 

6-9 in the lineup and the bench is all guys who don't even project to have positive WAR. Mike Ford, Josh Rojas, Cade Marlowe, etc. These guys are truly terrible and they are getting major playing time.

 

EDIT: Yes, the Rangers are fading too. No denying that right now.

I think it is fair to say the bottom half of the lineup is awful, but that’s probably their only weakness. That and all their starters sans Castillo being young and relatively unproven.
