Phillies might bring Bryce Harper back as a DH/1B in two weeks. 6 months after TJS. With no rehab assignment.

What does he need rehab for? Just to waste nukes in the minors?

That part is understandable if he's swinging OK. This will be some kind of record for quick return from TJS though, and only possible of course if he never has to throw.

I mean if he's DH'ing, sure, but if he's playing 1st, he'd have to make some throws. I wonder how much risk is involved in all of this.

A bit, no doubt

After an 8-12 start there may be a bit of panic. They sure miss his bat.

Will any team even want MadBum at league minimum??

He's pretty much a perfect Starter for one of the teams tanking. Although I don't think Oakland needs to tank anymore. They got their move now so they could probably just play their future although they are going to suck anyway from a lack of talent.

"come buy a VERY limited Madison Bumgarner Washington Nationals jersey for $200 and watch him pitch 150 s***** innings for us so we can suck and draft the next Madison Bumgarner who might make the majors 6 years from now"

Team has not accepted that yet. That proposal just gets them a Tampa stadium hopefully

And if they move to a new stadium that of course the tax payers will be on the hook for, it will still be empty like Miami, they need to move out of Florida

I really don't want to see the Rays remain in Tampa. Much better markets for them to play in. Miami has been an utter disaster and apparently the New Stadium was suppose to fix that.

Yup. A new stadium won't fix TB's attendance issues. People are naive if they believe that it will.

It doesn't help that their stadium is s***** but I agree. That would just be polishing a turd.

And what Vancouver as a potential Baseball Market? Obviously they have the Canadians and its very successful Minor League Organization. But we see the Mariners games. We see the Baseball talent that comes out of that area as well. If Portland is being considered and they want a team in the Pacific Northwest. You gotta consider Vancouver. Not only would you be creating a rivalry with Seattle but you would also have one with the Blue Jays. I would like to see it.

Drew Smyly is absolutely carving the Dodgers up. Perfect through 7 with 9 Ks. Cubs up 13-0.

Yan Gomes just broke up the perfecto by tackling Smyly while he was trying to field a groundball

Woops! LOL

Cant do much but laugh about that one. Gomes wanted to make that play so bad... hell even if he succeeded in jumping over him Smyly wouldnt have been able to throw it since Gomes would still be right there in the way

I actually really like these threads. Plus Zac Gallen is absolute pimp

I would really like to see a Blue Jays city connect jersey soon

Ohtani unhittable as always.

I feel like there's a pretty reasonable argument at this point that says Ohtani is the most skilled baseball player of all time.

David Ross would be a good guy to play for
