I feel like there's a pretty reasonable argument at this point that says Ohtani is the most skilled baseball player of all time.

 

He's definitely one of the few baseball stars I would pay to see! When the Angels come to town and if he's pitching, I would definitely splurge to buy good seats.

I would love to see Pittsburgh become good again.

 

They had some good teams in the early part of the last decade. Need to build up some more pitching.

 

Could be a opening in the NL Central over the next couple of seasons. If the Brewers lose both Burnes and Woodruff as FAs, they won't be as good. St. Louis is getting older. Cubs are heading in the right direction, and the Reds could be as well. Pirates definitely can make some noise.

Their pitching staff has -2.7 fWAR with an 8.08 ERA. It’s remarkable that that they’ve assembled something so bad.

It says a lot about their lineup when a late 20s failed prospect can get hot for a couple weeks and is suddenly batting in the #3 hole every game.

Love the story, but it’s doubtful this guy with a lifetime .696 OPS in the minors is going to be relevant in any way. 45 HR in 13 minor league seasons. Must be good defensively to last this long with a pool noodle bat
