Its a dry heat, 80 in Philly is worse than 110 in Vegas

I disagree. 110 sucks giant balls whether it's dry heat or not.

I will say though having been in New Orleans in late July, where it's 100 degrees with like 80% humidity at the best of times, its indescribable how uncomfortable that is.

Cubs extend Happ for 3/60

f*** I was hoping the Jays might sign him this offseason

Steal. Such a good player, Underrated despite playing for the Cubs

Wish I picked him up in the LOD.

Let's hope he fizzles out and sucks like he did before.

He seems like the type to go full Jorge Soler and have a random 48 Homerun season and then go back to sucking,

Soto was one of the slowest players at the plate. He was at WBC and had an injury, didn't play many ST games. His early struggles may be partly adjusting to the pitch clock.

I guess, but 20 million per for a guy who's career season was last year at 3.6 fWAR. Good for him. He's off to a hot start this season too so maybe he does go on a tear and make the Cubs look like geniuses. I dont see more than 20-25 HR out of him though.

Guy can’t stay healthy

Speaking of guys who cant stay healthy, Buxton was HAMMERED at 2nd base. He walked on his own to the bench so maybe he has changed his fortunes.

Corey Seager out at least 4 weeks with a hamstring injury.

It's always the players on a tear that seem to get injured...

Same game

That seemed inevitable at some point

Makes total sense with the Hoskins injury. Maybe this keeps Bryce healthier further into his career if he can split time between RF/1B

This is a perfect example of how the New York Media can paint a picture that they've been cheated. I know the play was f***ed up but they claim Cleveland did not dispute a call but this clip then shows the Cleveland feed and its a different story. f*** I hate the Yankees.

Fantastic comments from the Youtube video:

The crew chief should’ve tossed Boonie the second the lineup card was turned in with Hicks in CF

Bottom line is Hicks DROPPED not one but TWO fly balls in this inning.

To be fair - I have zero faith that Buck wouldn't paint the same picture if this happened to the Jays. He wouldn't know this nuisance in the rule either.

Good take honestly, I never actually thought about why drink/food sales stopped in the 7th

If you're drinking enough to need an extra half hour to "sober up", don't f***ing drive.

I'm mean...that's a very logical take.

Is it though? The idiots who are driving home drunk were probably buying 2-4 beers at last call anyway so they can keep drinking. It's not like an extra 20 minutes was making that much of a difference.

That’s true but people are still stupid
