Why pinch hit for a silver slugger finalist?

Yikes. I didn't know Maldonado was. Have they no shame? His wRC+ is 70.

The momentum swings and recency bias among the fans and media are so wild

After game one: Astros might never lose again for the next decade

After game three: Phillies are the team of destiny and will win all three games at home cause Phillies fans r loud

After game five: Oh yeah that's right.. . The Astros are the better team and they'll win it in 6 or 7.

Lol. So true. I hate the ever shifting eye rolling hindsight narratives to fill air time.

Phillies still have a shot here.

Wheeler - Valdez is a coinflip

win Saturday and roll the dice with Ranger Suarez, man of destiny, on Sunday. If Suarez wins game 7 his postseason performance will be one of legends.

I expect the Astros to win, but I wouldn't rule out Philly just yet. Wheeler is really good and then Game 7 anything can happen.

For sure. Depends a lot on if wheeler is the usual or the guy from the last start who didn't have his V and stuff.

Yeah it pretty much falls on him to save their playoff lives

How good is Jeremy Pena going to be? He's been incredible on both sides of the ball this post season. Is this just a hot/lucky streak or is this guy going to become a generational player? Anyone want to throw out some comparisons?

He's already 25. So he's looking like a very nice player but maybe he won't see a big uptick in offence like you might expect if he was a 22 year-old rookie.

Schwarber HR tour continues

Plesac called that perfectly on the broadcast. If you feel the need to go to the fastball with 2 strikes against Schwarber - don't miss in. Then boom. 1-0.
