BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Why pinch hit for a silver slugger finalist? Yikes. I didn't know Maldonado was. Have they no shame? His wRC+ is 70.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 The momentum swings and recency bias among the fans and media are so wild After game one: Astros might never lose again for the next decade After game three: Phillies are the team of destiny and will win all three games at home cause Phillies fans r loud After game five: Oh yeah that's right.. . The Astros are the better team and they'll win it in 6 or 7. Lol. So true. I hate the ever shifting eye rolling hindsight narratives to fill air time.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Why go to boxing when you have Yogi Berra Rocky/Philly connection
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Rocky/Philly connection Ah. Solid. Sorry
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Phillies still have a shot here. Wheeler - Valdez is a coinflip win Saturday and roll the dice with Ranger Suarez, man of destiny, on Sunday. If Suarez wins game 7 his postseason performance will be one of legends.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I expect the Astros to win, but I wouldn't rule out Philly just yet. Wheeler is really good and then Game 7 anything can happen.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Really hoping this goes to a Game 7.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) Framber Valdez has made 3 starts against the Phillies in the last month 11+ innings 1 run 19 K Edited November 4, 2022 by G-Snarls

Depends a lot on if wheeler is the usual or the guy from the last start who didn't have his V and stuff.

43211234 Verified Member Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 How good is Jeremy Pena going to be? He's been incredible on both sides of the ball this post season. Is this just a hot/lucky streak or is this guy going to become a generational player? Anyone want to throw out some comparisons? He's already 25. So he's looking like a very nice player but maybe he won't see a big uptick in offence like you might expect if he was a 22 year-old rookie.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Why do they hit Harper 4th
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Awful umpiring already 1 batter in
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Unreal... like f*** this game in the ass.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Schwarber HR tour continues Plesac called that perfectly on the broadcast. If you feel the need to go to the fastball with 2 strikes against Schwarber - don't miss in. Then boom. 1-0.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Massive massive home run for Alvarez
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Lol yeah now THIS is the Phillies pen I know. Alvarado crapping the bed 2 games in a row… RIP

GoJays1562 Verified Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Game over for the Phillies. Alvarado meatball down the middle to Alvarez.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Alvarado gonna have nightmares about Alvarez for the next few years.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 That ball was obliterated... like...
