L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I like to see different teams winning as often as possible. Back-to-back is also cool sometimes, as long as it’s not the Yankees Haha ya pretty much. Anyone but Yankees. f*** the Red Sox too but they don’t look like much competition for the next few years.

A lot of last place finishes mixed in between.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Jomboy suggesting there's no real evidence that McCullers was tipping pitches last night. Says he thinks Harper was just telling teammates that he isn't sharp and to f***ing crush him.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Harper calls Bohm Over: "ayo, just... hit a HR. kay, bud?" Bohm: "damn, why didn't I think of that. Genius."

Says he thinks Harper was just telling teammates that he isn't sharp and to f***ing crush him. Dave Samson (former Marlins President) is adamant that he was tipping. Makes more sense if he was, he gave up 5 homeruns in 5 innings last night and his career HR/9 numbers are extremely low.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Oh snap, bases loaded no outs for Astros. Alvarez up. And HBP, 1st pitch from Alvarado brings in a run.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 The Phillies bullpen finally rears its ugly head
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Jaiver has been nuts. But I don't think Philly is done tonight.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) 6 outs from a no-hitter Edit: 3 outs from a no-hitter Edited November 3, 2022 by Solaxys
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Lol wtf. A no hitter the night after they score 7 runs. Guess Javier wasn’t tipping…
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Just crazy how unpredictable Baseball can be. Nobody saw this coming after last night. This is why its the best Sport in the World. I love it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Imagine getting no-hit in the world series…. #JustPhilliesThings
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Weird couple games here in Philly, but at least we’re definitely getting a 6 game series. Love to see that especially after the short CS series
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Knew the Astros wouldn't roll over
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Ended up getting a hit and being a huge inning lol. Never bunt
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Dusy Baker has been horrendous in this series but its 2-2.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Lol wtf. A no hitter the night after they score 7 runs. Guess Javier wasn’t tipping… This doesn't compute, was a good job buy the staff.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Watched that game last night. Amazing a guy sitting 93 with basically 2 pitches could shut down that offense for 6. Just great stuff/location and invisiball fastball. Talk about a money start. That was basically Game 7 for the Stros last night. How about Bregman taking 101 away to RF with 2 strikes for the biggest hit of the game? The unpredictability of baseball is its best feature. Love it.

I think we forget how hard it is to square up 101 sometimes.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Imagine having the depth to have Luis Garcia in your bullpen in the World Series and Urquidy off your roster for the ALCS. Insane stuff.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Imagine having the depth to have Luis Garcia in your bullpen in the World Series and Urquidy off your roster for the ALCS. Insane stuff. Depth doesnt really matter in the post season with all the off days... that's why there's so many upsets. The top 3 arms for the wildcard teams are pretty comparable to the top 3 of any first place team.

It did matter to Houston earlier in the playoffs when Garcia like single handedly won the Seattle game It could be a big deal tonight when / if Philly throws their SP4 slot. The gap between Syndergaard and Verlander is massive. The series might as well be 3-2 right now.

Also, forgot to type in the "depth doesnt matter unless there's injuries" part.

Don’t be surprised if Verlander coughs up 3 runs in the first and Syndergaard throws 6 innings of shutout

Garcia isn't far off 'good' Berrios.
