JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Bo batting 5th.... about time he's moved down. Nice to see Springer back in the lineup. Hopefully Merrifield has a great 1st. game for the Jays. Lets win this series.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Sonny Gray has DECLINED Whitey Merryweather can still RUN Bo Bichette is FALLING LIKE A STONE GO BLUE JAYS
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Author Posted August 4, 2022 Lineup looks good tonight! Good job John!
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Author Posted August 4, 2022 Lineup looks DEEP. Manoah on the bump. New relievers are ready to go. The Twins are getting wrecked tonight.
NHLPRO Verified Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Deep is right the guy who led the league in hits 2018, 2019 hitting 8th is nice 1-9. My ideal lineup is: Merrifield Vladdy Springer Teo Bo Chapman Gurriel Kirk Biggio This is our year boys!! Go Jays!

Chapman might be a decent leadoff guy if Springer has to hit the DL
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 (edited) I kinda liked Lourdes leading off tbh; his new high-contact-no-power stroke is not really a hot streak anymore considering he's been hitting for well over 2.5 months now with a .400 OBP clip. Also Kirk slumping. --- Omar told me batting orders don't matter but I SAY, I dare dream. LGJ VGJ Teo Springer Kirk Chapman Merrifield Bo Biggio/Espinal This way, the chance there is a GIDP with Kirk hitting/on-base is minimal (all infront of Kirk can steal, Chapman only Ks/flys out and Merrifield can still - surprisingly - run). Agreed about liking Gurriel at leadoff. Obviously you can't move a guy like Springer off that spot unless he struggles for a super long stretch. My ideal lineup based on current performance looks like the following: Springer Vladdy Gurriel Kirk Teo Bo Chapman Merrifield Biggio/Espinal/Tapia

My ideal lineup based on current performance looks like the following: Springer Vladdy Gurriel Kirk Teo Bo Chapman Merrifield Biggio/Espinal/Tapia The bottom two spots of the lineup could likely be swapped as needed depending on who is playing that particular game. I would personally move Chapman ahead of Bo given how hot Chapman has been for the last few months.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Also... this might be the first time in Bo's entire life that he's batted lower than 4th in a real game. Hopefully this lights a fire to turn his game around like we all know he's capable of.

If he continued to suck then for sure.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Bo still a few spots higher than he should be but slowly getting there.

In playoffs against elite pitching, this lineup will be easily neutralized. It was the same in 2016, too many of the same type of hitter.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Glad to see Bo moved down but Chapman seens too low considering how he’s been hotter than a blowtorch for over a month.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Bichette should be hitting 7th. Just swap him and Chapman and it’s fairly ideal.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Syndegaard not having a good time against AAA Nationals God mode Padres losing to Rockies 7 - 2
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 okay that was a nasty af pitch lol
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 View tonight! I hope that was well before the game. Embarrassing crowd for a First Place team although the AL Central is horrendous.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 I initially thought 8 was the starting time as a game in Minny, early start there.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Springer still wincing, cool They should really just DL him at this point. Idk why he’s here if it hurts to swing and hurts to throw
