Ya lowkey was expecting Cimber for a second there lol

Cimber comes in the 5th inning to avoid third time through the order.

They do? I've never had to provide anything going over the border, only coming back into Canada.

Maybe they don't check border between us or US is lax at the border - but you can't fly into the US as a non-US citizen without proof of vaccination.

Can we PLEASE not get into this s*** yet again???! Even if there were SME epidemiologists on this board we should just let it go.

Well I mean it does give the Jays a MASSIVE advantage so it's something worth discussing.

Well, I think we can all say that a Schneider managed team is a breath of fresh air. Got to love the situational hit and runs. One of them on a 1-0 count and the other on a 2-2 count and both with Espinal at the plate. There is zero chance Chuckles does that in those counts.

Great game....horrible game , I am so confused

Hehe; Phillies off to Miami no? Good luck!

Not true for me or any family. It's only been at Canadian airports. As far as I know, the United States doesn't even have any system in place to check like how Canada has the mobile-phone app.

Weird; its on their travel website though. You need to have proof of vaccination. Maybe they aren't enforcing it but the rules haven't changed.

Schneider really seemed to pull all the right strings tonight. It's one game, but let's hope it lights a fire and the team goes on a run.

Missed the game, see Richards struck out the side. Nice

Hopefully he's fixed now

He’s been looking good since coming off the IL

Schneider pretty impressive in the post game presser. Cool, confident. Said he will press the issue on the bases whenever possible. Wants the team to be aggressive.

That's a great sign. Aggressive base running / hitting will engage higher focus, which will hopefully translate throughout all aspects. The players love it.

I missed the game. Did Schneider go out and use his elite move of making the struggling pitcher laugh on the mound to settle him down?

Let's go kick the crap out of KC now boys!

Didn't need to tonight. Pitching was lights out.

Good to see them stringing together hits and Stripling going seven.

If they can take 3/4 vs the Royals, they'll have gone 5-1 heading into the ASG. Need to build momentum.

Honestly they should be sweeping the Royals unless they have some kind of crazy performance from one of their starting pitchers. It’s basically a AAA team.

3/4 is an absolute must, and 4/4 is what they should be aiming for.

Not sure what it adds. I flew I into Charlotte on the 12th and am here now on some business. Had to validate my vaxx status. Also your interpretation of "medical data" evidence you made is extremely provocative. I doubt either of us are qualified to analyze results of medical data. In terms of the so called massive advantage it hasn't had a material positive impact on our results vis a vis the Twins series and others. Also any advantage is mitigated in my mind by the fact we played all over buttf*** in 2021 and the FA and trade pool for us is reduced by this issue. There is speculation it's one of the reasons Ray didn't come back, for example. Other targets are off the list as well from the Royals etc. This vaxx status discussion always takes the Board down a rabbit hole. So I'd rather avoid it as much as possible.

I would suspect the advantage is mitigated by being unable to target players that aren't vaccinated. Now whether anyone that fits that profile that Ross is looking for is willing to change their philosophy, like Whit Merrifield, remains to be seen which kind of also makes the anti-vaxx stance for him a bit of a paper tiger.

I think this is a good note on which to end this line of discussion. You've (mostly) all stayed on the non-argumentative side, but we've brushed the line a few times and I think it's best for all of us if we quit while we're ahead.

(This is a notice that I'll probably be deleting future posts, unless they add some new BASEBALL perspective or valuable BASEBALL insight.)

Yeah I just saw how many players they won't have because of the vaccine mandate. Holy s***.

More than double the amount the Phillies had.
