  1. I watched the Jays win in 92 and 93. I hope I see them win this year. What an amazing run. They basically had to take the hardest road possible, having to go through NY, Sea, and LA. Hopefully if they win, there will be no more talk of luck or fluke that I've read people attribute to their season. This team is legit and deserves all the credit for their success. Let's finish this ride tonight and immortalize this team in baseball history.
  2. Didn't see this posted yet. Anyone have any scouting report or info on this guy?
  3. I'm absolutely gutted. I really believed the reports yesterday that he was on the verge of signing with the Jays. But people s***ing on the front office for trying is absolutely asinine. Ohtani's camp stressed information blackout, so no one knows how close the Jays were. In the end, the team was apparently willing to shell out $600 million contract. How many teams in the league even would be able to say that? The fact is, it took the largest f***ing contract in all sports history to sign Ohtani.
  4. Immature, entitled, selfish, high maintenance, lazy (weight)... all apparent character flaws as an outside observer. We can only hope, some one, some how, gets to him in the off-season and he works to improve and correct in those areas. But I don't think he will. Unfortunately. He seems the type of person that doubles down when criticized, rather than self reflect.
  5. Tiedemann with 9k in 3ip. Roden with a hr and 2hits so far. He's one of favourite guys to follow in the minors.
  6. Such a great turnaround from earlier in the year, when things looked grim, and following the minor league scoreboards was a dive into depression. Some really good high upside prospects have since emerged. I'd say the system is looking quite healthy going forward.
  7. DeJong is also 4-9 with 2 hr against Wheeler in sss. Probably made their decision easier to start him. But yeah, I'd prefer Schneider over Espinal in pretty much any circumstance.
  8. Varsho's one guy I don't think needs any extra motivation. He gives 100% effort and hustle. Rooting for this kid. Love how he plays.
  9. This. I love the story about the glove. Just adds to the story.
  10. Add to this, Belt's performance will ultimately determine how much playing time he gets. If he's hitting like in 2020-2021, he's going to be in the lineup over pretty much everyone other than Vlad. But if he's closer to 2022 level, I don't see the team being patient and continue giving him at bats.
  11. Man it feels so good to have another ace prospect developing in the system. Manoah and Tiedemann anchoring the staff for many years together would fantastic.
  12. Alex De Jesus sounds like a pretty nice prospect. If the Jays can help him reduce his strikeout rate, he might jump a prospect tier? plus arm, above avg power, and good walk rate with potential for avg hit tool? Sounds pretty good to me.
  13. Orioles 4-1 top of the 8th. When's the last time a division had all +.500 teams at All-Star break?
  14. Hmm. Groshans over Orelvis?
