We're comparing Vladdy to the leagues best so it's understandable to be harder on him. These are the expectations you set once you are supposed to be a MVP candidate every year going forward.

The only double play i have a problem with with vlad is the first one because that wasn’t a pitch you should swing at first pitch. In the zone but too low. The other he hit it hard right at the guy. Not a big deal .

It sucks. Josh Bell and Maikel Franco lead baseball with 12. Vlad had 9 now 11. Half of baseball is tied with 7. It isn't great, but not as bad as you all make it

Rays won and Yankees look like they will win but honestly don’t even care. The 3 team 3 game series wild card makes it way less important to win the division. Just want home field advantage.

Vlad has 1 season of being an elite hitter. All those other guys you mentioned have multiple. Vlad has regressed quite a bit from last season's numbers.

Top2 division winners get a buy into the second round. Division winner with the third best record plays The WC card team with the worst record, the other two WC teams play each other. Winners advance to play the top 2 division winners

Okay, so here's I suppose a better question: is the current Vladdy the Vladdy we should expect the rest of the season and majority of his career?

 

He might be raking but this has been a shadow of what he was last year, especially in clutch situations.

You guys might think otherwise but Vlad is the LAST person (outside of Tapia/Zimmer) you'd want with RISP at the plate in this lineup.

More importantly, if this is the year we are going for WS contention, then this Vlad is not the cornerstone superstar that'll get us there.

And, its June.

He has adjusted and is getting his timing back. Crying every single AB when he has hit 4 HRs in 6 days is beyond stupid and annoying (which is why they are doing it)
