I love how Tabler is jizzing over these last 2 hits, both barely on the bat that dinked just over the SS.

 

Those are lucky results, not an example of good hitting.

Oh for sure, just saying those two hits are the perfect example of how KC lucksacked their way to success in 2015.

A guy named Carew had a pretty good career hitting like that.

I mean it's not like they got jammed. They didn't hit it particularly hard but it was definitely a good piece of hitting, just a soft line drive up the middle high enough to where no one can make a play on it. You don't have to pummel the ball to say what they did was bad process. Both hits had xBAs > .900.

Yeah, but xba isn’t a perfect measure either. If Isabel hit the exact same ball in the last inning about 2/3rds as hard, it would likely have fell in for a hit too, doesn’t mean it not a lucky hit. Any ball off the bat at 78 mph that falls in for a hit is a pretty fortunate outcome.
