BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Hicks grounds it to 2B side; shift was on, Bo had to cover but he couldn't find footing and threw the ball to Vladdy on the basepath. Vladdy stretched to get it, using his right hand to stabilize the stretch, Hicks (running down the line) stepped on the hand; spikes caused a bleed - got patched up and came back into the game. Appreciate it brother! Cant stand those Yankees. Watching the Yankees broadcast here in WNY and the broadcasters were trying to say Vlad's first homerun wasnt all the way out.... just makes me dislike them more.

Huge homers but not in a cheerleader way, more like a whining and bitching way.

Kinda hair splitting, but really it may have stayed in if Hicks didn’t glove it over. It may have hit the top of the fence and came back in, or it may have hit and went over. Hard to say really. The NY radio folks had it as a HR right away
BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 We should seriously start looking for baseball genes Dude is just different. If he stays healthy he is going to rival his Father's career. Which is not an easy task.
BuffaloWings Verified Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Yankees broadcasters are the worst. Huge homers but not in a cheerleader way, more like a whining and bitching way. I didnt notice it in the past but the last two years I've bought MLB.TV to listen to Toronto broadcasts and its way more evident now that I have control group.

Had he made the play he would have been on ESPN Top 10.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Refreshing to see an umps zone not being 6 inches wider than it should be though
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Wouldn't be Jays baseball if Buck and Pat didnt mention that a baseball player is in fact, a baseball payer.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Jesus Christ these umps. "Borderline" says Tabby.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 This pitch com thing is a mess, everytime I see a team try and use it they inevitably go back to regular signs after a couple pitches
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 As perfect a fastball as there ever was. Beauty
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Gameday says ball On the first pitch?? No way
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 On the first pitch?? No way Meant strike 3
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Good framing by Kirk on the call SO
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 On the first pitch?? No way It was well inside the strike zone. Umps blow.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Gameday says ball Baseball savant has it on the edge…by a seam width. 1st pitch was an entire ball width in the zone. Gamedays strike zone is not the same on that the pitch fx uses, which is far more accurate. 3 out of 5 were clear strikes, strike 3 was very borderline but brushed the edge.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 No way. I meant pitch 5
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I didn’t realize you guys were still talking about ball 1 all that time
