Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 If the Astros get Contreras, why even play next year? Obviously I'm kidding... kind of... maybe not lol. Regardless, that'll be one of the best lineups in recent memory.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 My God... the Phillies just went to the World Series and are upgrading like crazy regardless what you think of the contracts.

PhillyBlueJay Verified Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Blue Jays and Atkins always the bridesmaid and never the bride lol. We will never know the details but I bet the Blue Jays were runner up in at least 7-8 signings so far. Atkins… “Too Rogers Board of Directors, I can’t bring players to Toronto unless you open the check book and let me exceed payroll limits…” how much do you need? Atkins… $229 million bump.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Why not, that team has improved a lot??? Because I don’t think they’re better than the Mets/Padres/Dodgers
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Because I don’t think they’re better than the Mets/Padres/Dodgers I thought you meant, getting to the postseason, they just need to get there again, anyone can win.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 If Tallion goes to the Cubs, I can see NYY going hard after Rondon and Bassit. Not good news for us.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Good lord, 4 years at 17 mil a year for Taillon. At this point the Jays probably should have offered Stripling the QO.

No one that we should have signed and really needed is off the board yet. Apart from Verlander, which didn’t think was going to happen or a good fit, Montero is the only other FA so far I really wanted and he went back to the Astros Day 1.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Tyler Anderson at 3 years and 39 mil is looking like a steal at this point.

The Berrios deal should have looked amazing in comparison... now only if he didn't forget how to pitch last season lol.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Seems odd he picked NY over SF IMO, but at least this will handcuff the Yankees somewhat. This deal probably starts looking bad year 6ish
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 ****. jk Gotta be quicker meat
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Seemed obvious the Giants were out on Judge once they signed Haniger. And timing of it. Getting both didn’t make much sense for them.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Gotta be quicker meat Thanks, Spanky
