Laika Community Moderator Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 How many position players have had TJS? I can only recall a handful, including Didi Gregorious. No way they have Harper throwing from the OF in May but he might be able to DH? Man he's been so good but also seems high risk for breaking down badly a lot of catchers and shortstops

Man he's been so good but also seems high risk for breaking down badly I’m sure he’ll DH pretty much the entirety of 2023. Doubt he plays a single inning in the OF. I don’t believe this is a precursor to future injuries. TJS is the byproduct of repeated unnatural actions and not necessarily an indication of being injury prone. Surgery is wildly successful and this is a necessary step to get him back into the OF 2024 and beyond

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 If Brewers want to shave salary, we will take a starter off their hands Question is would the Blue Jays have enough to make a package for Woodruff or Burnes?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Question is would the Blue Jays have enough to make a package for Woodruff or Burnes? Sure, Tiedemann and Moreno would get the talks started. I don't think Milwaukee has much interest in moving either, they are legit contenders. Renfroe was moved because they think Frelick is ready.

Brewers can't waste these next two seasons with both Woodruff and Burnes under control. Don't think they'll ever have another powerful 1-2 punch like that for a while!

TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Well I have been TOLD that Minasian is an idiot. A 3 hour Xmas dinner themed "stupid things Minasian has said or done"

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 John Schneider nemesis is leaving the AL thank god. Bad news is that the Pirates will definitely be trading him at the deadline.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 WTF?? I thought The Pirates traded for Ji Man Choi.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 WTF?? I thought The Pirates traded for Ji Man Choi. I almost forgot about that. Collecting old fat DHs that can kind of hit.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Do the Pirates benefit in some way from the signing? Like do they get more welfare money or something? Otherwise I don’t get it. There wasn’t a floor in the CBA, was there?

Probably just a hail mary signing, hope he has a good start to the year and flip him for a lottery ticket prospect at the deadline

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Interesting that Carlos Santana continues to stick around. His greatest strength was getting on base and he doesn’t even do that anymore. He still walks but doesn’t hit a lick lol. It’s actually incredible he could walk as much as he does and still post a low on base the last 2 seasons lol.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 I’d think I’d be less surprised with the Pirates dumping Hayes, than signing CS
