Even with Kershaw and Buehler gone, being without May for the entire season and after trading Mitch White, it's very impressive how the Dodgers can still field a solid rotation one through five! They're a team built well for a 162 game season. This shows you how roster depth is important. Something the Blue Jays front office should focus on addressing in the offseason.

Dodgers current rotation:

Urias

Gonsolin

Anderson

Heaney

Pepiot

Those five are better than the Blue Jays right now IMO.

May is expected back very soon, and Danny Duffy likely will be back in September. I'm also shocked why they don't have Price stretched out a starter but like you said they might know something we don't.

For the Postseason, if they get Kershaw back, and along with May in top form, their rotation is fine. They can run a rotation of Urias, Gonsolin, Kershaw and May along with Heaney, Anderson, Duffy and Pepiot in the wings in case someone gets injured again

The best thing about the Dodgers tremendous pitching depth is how it continues to provide the Jays with a steady supply of starting pitching they desperately need while the Dodgers seem to be OK without. LOL

damn, Yankees were poised to break it open (bases loaded 1 outs; unintentionally intentionally walked Judge to walk in a run) but Torres GIDPs and, they are down by 1 run in the 8th.

Also Clay Holmes to the IL

Yankees tie it in the 8th by a Rizzo porch job!

went into extras, use those relievers yankees!

Chapman loads up the bases with 2 walks and then Mejia, down to his last strike, doubles; 7 - 4 Rays!

I think he's actually been good lately and was turning it around. I watched him like 3 days ago and he was sharp AF. Not last night though.

He has been much better, he'll be the closer again shortly.

My DNA makes it tough to cheer for the Yanks but a comeback W vs the Rays is good for the Jays. Vintage JD oppo shot.

Shades of '15 JD.

Same, we won't catch them, I mean it's highly unlikely. My thoughts exactly on that bomb, he pimped it too.

Yadi Molina has had Jordan Montgomery increase his 4S usage from 8 to 28% and the results have been phenomenal, I wonder if that trend continues. Yadi's a boss, that's why Waino doesn't wave a pitch off, ever. Him and Martin, smartest catchers I've ever seen defensively.

Albert Pujols has a 128 wRC+ and is only 10 homers from 700.

I believe he's in the short side of a platoon, starts against lefties and PH's against them.

+0.4 fWAR this year at 42

He's one of the best hitters in baseball this year v. LHP. It's really incredible and heartwarming to see. I hope the Cards do some damage in the playoffs and that Pujols provides us with some fireworks. You have to wonder if the Cards can talk him into playing 1 more year. 700 is staring him square in the face and it would be amazing to see it happen. What's another year when you're 48 anyway?
