Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) Baseball Savant can't figure out that Milone's 83 MPH fastball from a 77 changeup. Edited March 17, 2021 by Spanky99
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) That ball was way outside? Didn't think we'd see a pitching duel through 4, with these lineups. Biggio's E-5 cost a run. Edited March 17, 2021 by Spanky99

I didn't see the error but this is my worst nightmare come true. Hope it was a Spring Training error than an ability error lol.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 No hit through 5 innings. Just put in Vladdy to fix the situation

jerb Verified Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi Via #BlueJays, Thomas Hatch left the game with right elbow/forearm discomfort. Team says it will have more info once "additional imaging" is done.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Damn, thought Groshans hit one out there.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Sucks about Hatch. Thought he'd be a rotation contributor this season. Hopefully his injury is not too bad but sounds like it probably is. Pitching depth can deteriorate instantly in this league so you can never be satisfied.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Ballgame... well, that was uneventful, aside from some good pitching. Looked like Hatch is f***ed. *fingers crossed*
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 You are the king of overreactions. This is because I already have a preconceived notion on this topic. It was a lighthearted overreaction though. I'm not actually freaking out over a spring training error lol.

Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Damn, thought Groshans hit one out there. Can you tell if the new ball is significantly different? It is supposed to be a bit less lively. Is playing that way? Balls you think should be homers are not? Or are they even using the new ball yet? I thought I might of heard they use up left overs from last year first.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Sounds like Charlie is still feeling guilty over the Giles situation! Lol yeah looks like some slight shade towards Giles. Its both of their faults though, Giles for being a dummy and Charlie for not having a set of balls

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Did Moreno get into many games this spring?

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Did Moreno get into many games this spring? 6 games, 8 AB's 1 hit 1 K... he seemed to have a pretty good approach from what little I saw. Groshans looked lost, he needs way more work.

Groshans looked lost, he needs way more work. He's 21 and hasn't played in two years, this goes without saying and shouldn't be that surprising. Torkelson has 12 strikeouts in 23 PAs. A lot of these guys haven't played competitive games in a while, it might take some time for them to find their groove again.

That was more for the Martin this year and Groshans next year crowd.

Or some of them just suck...not implying anything about these kids
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Or some of them just suck...not implying anything about these kids Some of them do suck or will suck, but two weeks of Spring Training data isn't going to be what determines that.
