The Toronto Blue Jays maintained regular contact with the Paxton camp, but never offered a deal #BlueJays

 

Really don't understand this one. We took on Matz for 5.7 mill, signed Ray for 8 mill and have no choice with Roark coming back at 12 mill. Paxton blows all these guys outta the water so I would def taken him on that deal as a bounce back candidate.

Jays need to sign Walker ASAP, and still pursue Odorizzi, Rosenthal

 

They're in on all three of them

 

I am guessing we will end up with only 1 of them and I'd wager it will be Walker.

He racks up the Ks and had a s*** load of career saves pitching for a perennial playoff team and has a pile of playoff experience too.

Woukd love Rosenthal but we really need another legit starter. We definitely need Walker or Odorizzi at this stage because our starting rotation is sooooo bad.

Highly doubt Rosenthal is coming to TO. He'll want the opportunity to close and I fully expect we promised that to Yates. Too bad though - he'd be awesome in our pen.

Maybe the Jays can trade for good starter.

 

Does taking Moustakas and his contract from the Reds reduce the acquisition cost of Gray or Castillo from the Reds?

 

Gurriel and a top 5-10 prospect for Castillo and Moustakas? Too much or too little?

 

Move Biggio to the OF, Moustakas plays 3rd and gives you another left handed bat in the line up.

Jays are probably waiting for Walker to accept a one year deal

 

I'd be fine with signing Walker or Odorizzi for that matter. I agree though, I don't want either on anything more than a 1 year deal.

Jays have plenty of time to find out what they have currently and then make a trade if needed. The lack of expanded playoffs puts a little more pressure on them but I think the F.O. would be content going into the season as is.
