I would have been fine if the Jays gave him that deal. I like it for the Angels. He was always going to take a one year deal because his upside is huge and he can cash out big time next season. About time the Angels made a good pitching move, even if it’s only for one year.

Yeah, the money's fine. LAA just got a lot better, and there's no real bad contract to 1 year. It's the 2nd rounder that goes with it, ah well, not my team.

Seem questionable to me. He hasn't pitched in 2 years and is coming off TJ. I can't imagine he pitches anymore than 150 innings and even that would surprise me. Not to mention the lost draft pick and not being able to issue a QO following the 2022 season. He needs to be cy quality starter for this deal to work out.

No idea on Rendon but the thought that Trout could of come back for the end of the season but Angel's opted to not risk anything with the position they were in makes me think he will be back for training camp
