So turns out having no baseball on TV all week sucks.

Everyone in baseball is just vibrating with excitement at the opportunity to watch Eduardo Rodriguez toe the rubber for the team that didn't want to keep Mookie Betts, as they go head to head with the TBD pitcher from the 46-43 team that doesn't let their players grow beards and employs multiple domestic abusers.

The MLB draft, the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game was a pretty amazing week for me. My 3 boys and I loved every minute of it.

I enjoyed the Derby (haven't watched one in a few years - little interest) with my boy and together we watched the all star game on PVR until late in the night after his baseball practice. It was a cool thing to do.

 

What i enjoyed most was even 13 year olds appreciate how special Ohtani and some of these kids are as players. When I told him he was watching a Unicorn with Ohtani, I think they get it.

 

Lots of issues with different things in game and derby but just bitches really...tweaking. Overall it was fun and interesting for us.

Yeah the 3 days with the draft, derby, and AS Game were great for baseball. The draft felt like a big deal being on primetime on a Sunday, and the derby and AS game did a great job spotlighting the young talent in the game today. I saw universal praise on social media for baseball, for the most part, and that's exactly what they need. I actually enjoyed this AS break, and that's usually never the case.

His transformation is crazy. Through his first 491 games (which includes college) he had 13 HRs. This year in 46 games he has 15 HRs.

I don't actually mind the 7 inning double headers necessarily, but the extra innings rule is horrible.

 

If they are THAT desperate to stop games after 12-13 innings, just end the games with ties. The NFL seems to survive just fine with the occasional tie.

Yeah... bad timing. I heard they are all asymptomatic so far, some of them were vaccinated.

 

Only thing they can tell the Feds is that the system is working. They are catching the positives and preventing further infection.

Honestly, I'd have no objection to ties after a few extra innings (though I personally am fine with the "it goes as long as it goes" system). Be a f***tonne better than 7 inning games or that ghastly ghostrunner on 2nd rule.
