Hes gotta sign that no? How much more can he actually earn in the offseason.

I think he'd be crazy not to sign that. He has a lot more to lose than gain.

If he doesnt sign it, just means he doesnt want to be a met.

Report: Mets offering Lindor 10-year, $325M deal

https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2143645

This says Lindor wants 12/400. Being 2/75 away from a deal when those will probably be dwindling years is pretty drastic.

If the Mets lose Lindor in the offseason, that would be hilarious, especially when Cohen was asking fans what they think Lindor should get the other day lol.

Brewers bullpen is gonna be sick this year.

They brought in the big three tonight.

Hader strikes out the side. (3 batters)

Williams strikes out the side. (3 batters).

Feyereisen strikes out the side. (3 batters).

Damn you, you made me look up Feyereisen. What am I missing?

Greenwood owns him in numerous board dynasty leagues

So Price doesn’t even get 5th spot. If he was more of an alpha he would prob ask for a trade and it could get done quickly but he won’t

Wouldn't surprise me if Price doesn't care what his role is at this point. He has made over $200m in his career, is still owed $64m over the next two years, and is well off enough to have given up close to $12m (37% of his salary) for two months of work in 2020 by sitting out. Has a ring and a Cy Young. He's probably in relaxing mode right now. They'll use him for ~100 innings, probably out of the pen in the playoffs, and he'll get $32m for that. Not a bad gig.

He’s also a rich 30-something dude living in LA playing for a loaded team. I’m guessing he’s not feeling all that disgruntled.

I can't be the only one who thinks that a tweet like those from the owner of team is a little scummy. Seems like he's trying to protect himself and the Mets public perception in the event that Lindor doesn't sign. A byproduct of which will be fans turning their animosity to Lindor. Wonder what Lindor thinks about his negotiation playing out so publicly and that move.

10/325 is more than fair. They should tell Lindor to kick rocks if he holds out for more.

I read a week or two back, he'd be fine coming out of the pen. I agree, beta... another kick in the nuts for my team. :P

It would piss me off if I'm Lindor. He's literally being pressured to sign the offer they gave him or start facing backlash from the fans as the season progresses. Hope it blows up for them lol

I think owners should do this more often. The offer is probably still an overpay.

You can rub the player you are trying to sign for 10+ years the bad way. Most people like their negotiations kept under wraps which is why majority of this stuff doesn't happen often.

I can care less but would find it funny if he leaves the Mets in the offseason. At least now we know why we didn't trade for the guy. I would not want to give him 400 over 12 years.
