New York Mets @ Toronto Blue Jays Game 2 of 3 The Return of Bo Bichette

Absolute zero excuse for Fisher not playing. He’s actually been very good as well. I don’t know why Montoyo hates him. .400 On Base and 900 OPS. Get Biggio at second and Fisher in RF. Jonathan Davis can play against lefties and play Defense for him late in the game.

I guess all managers will have favorites. Or is this a vetrin thing ?

Hes just not fast enough to be your teams CF. Hes played well there but I hope he moves to a corner OF spot next year.

According to Statcast, he's the fastest player on the Jays by sprint speed. (at least of the currently active roster, I'm not going to bother digging any more. Teo might be faster, and for some reason they're not showing Bichette on the active roster for Statcast yet...)

Buck Showalter's advice on how to manage

Yeah, lets listen to the guy who didn't use Zach Britton in an extra innings wildcard game about how to manage

Isn't getting a quick reaction and running a good route more important than pure speed, unless you're Billy Hamilton with speed to burn ?

Absolutely, but I was replying to the comment "he's not fast enough".

He's plenty fast, he's not optimal in how he uses it. He also doesn't seem to steal bases ever (but I'm just going from memory on that one...)

Also, Kirk seriously doesn't look like a guy who hasn't even played in AA yet.

Ray still looks good....should come out for the 6th....probably won't.

Naw about 90 pitches and 5 ip. He's done for sure. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Kirk ends up being Robbie Ray's 'muse' and helps him turn it around?

I agree. Agility and route running are a huge deal at CF. Also the ability to throw your body around to make unexpected catches. Dont think Grichuk is that guy to go all out on catches.
