Dokken Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Absolute zero excuse for Fisher not playing. He’s actually been very good as well. I don’t know why Montoyo hates him. .400 On Base and 900 OPS. Get Biggio at second and Fisher in RF. Jonathan Davis can play against lefties and play Defense for him late in the game. I guess all managers will have favorites. Or is this a vetrin thing ?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Hes just not fast enough to be your teams CF. Hes played well there but I hope he moves to a corner OF spot next year. According to Statcast, he's the fastest player on the Jays by sprint speed. (at least of the currently active roster, I'm not going to bother digging any more. Teo might be faster, and for some reason they're not showing Bichette on the active roster for Statcast yet...)
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Buck Showalter's advice on how to manage Yeah, lets listen to the guy who didn't use Zach Britton in an extra innings wildcard game about how to manage
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 lol they're just rambling now
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 lol they're just rambling now Buck seems extra cantankerous today
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Robbie Ray was very good tonight.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Awesome stuff by Ray today! He got some clutch outs!
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Ray still looks good....should come out for the 6th....probably won't.

Isn't getting a quick reaction and running a good route more important than pure speed, unless you're Billy Hamilton with speed to burn ?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 My God... the catcher while he's crouching looks taller than kirk. Great eye nonetheless lol
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Incredible eye at the plate. Pudge Rodriguez who?
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Kirk already has more walks than McGuire the entire season in 45 PA.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Please put something in a gap. I need to see this guy run.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Isn't getting a quick reaction and running a good route more important than pure speed, unless you're Billy Hamilton with speed to burn ? Absolutely, but I was replying to the comment "he's not fast enough". He's plenty fast, he's not optimal in how he uses it. He also doesn't seem to steal bases ever (but I'm just going from memory on that one...) Also, Kirk seriously doesn't look like a guy who hasn't even played in AA yet.
Dokken Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Ray still looks good....should come out for the 6th....probably won't. Naw about 90 pitches and 5 ip. He's done for sure. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Kirk ends up being Robbie Ray's 'muse' and helps him turn it around?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 Confirmation from Buck that Kirk looks like a player.
doorknob Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Pls keep Ray in for at least part of the 6th
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Pine tarrrr It's the lighting...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Pine tarrrr That's... that's not how that works.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Whatever pine tar that can add 5 MPH let me know lol
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Confirmation from Buck that Kirk looks like a player. I need more analysis from Tabby. Maybe some insight on his shoulders and hips.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Isn't getting a quick reaction and running a good route more important than pure speed, unless you're Billy Hamilton with speed to burn ? I agree. Agility and route running are a huge deal at CF. Also the ability to throw your body around to make unexpected catches. Dont think Grichuk is that guy to go all out on catches.
