Dokken's Achievements

  1. It had to do with the game day thread which had posts deleted and was then locked. This was because the discussion ventured into politics. it ventured into politics. i will be a good boy from now on
  2. WOW: Schwarber already has 1.6 fWAR this season after putting up 2.8 fWAR last season. The Phillies are on the hook for 4 years, $79M, so we'll have to see how that pans out in the long run, but so far so good. Then there is Tellez. Not many people around here had much use for him before he was traded. He sure burned the Jays on Sunday with 2 home runs in the first 2 innings........
  3. Yes, funny because of the childishness of the sentiment behind it (assuming he is actually serious). ETA: OH f***: I just realized he was imagining what the ******** Wilner would say to people on Twitter (I will block you) if they called it the Cleveland Indians. This alone is enough reason to totally ignore anything that POS Wilner says on any topic!
  4. The fact that you are wasting your time listening to (or even imagining) what Wilner is babbling has to say something about you. Oh and by the way: CLEVELAND INDIANS
  5. This seems like a very demoralized team right now. They score 3 in the top of the 1st and then 10 unanswered runs with only 4 hits the rest of the game.
  6. I hadn't realized it at the time, but last season, Robbie Ray set the record for most strikes outs by a major league pitcher in his first 1000 innings pitched. He definitely made adjustments last season that helped turn things around. Who knows how much just a change of environment helped as well.
  7. So is it a matter of not having the right kind (aka proficient) of coaching on the minor league affiliates? There has to be a reason the Jays suck while the Rays and Astros excel
  8. I really don't know what to believe on it at this point. At least with the offense, it is tied to actual hard data that everyone has access to.
  9. That's a pretty brutal, but when they have Bogaerts (who I referred to in my previous post as being historically mediocre) in 3rd place, one wonders about the validity of this ranking....... One thing you have to give Bogey is that he is sure-handed like a Cal Ripken and unlike Bichette.
  10. I am not sure how valid the Fangraphs overall defensive value number is but: in 50044 PA worth of playing time, Xander Bogaerts has a total of +10.4 in 1342 PA worth of playing time, Bo Bichette has a total defensive value of +1.2. I use Bogaerts as a comparison since he is generally regarded to be a mediocre defender at SS (especially being limited in range) and has been able to remain there due to his bat and his overall status as a vetrin presenz on the team.
  11. Good point about his hitting approach being unlikely to age well. That assumes he couldn't adjust his approach to compensate for losing a bit of that ability to put bat on ball.
  12. At least he gets tagged with a loss. While Ws are counting less for starting pitchers than they used to Ls and also your team's record in games that you started are still valid measures.
  13. He'll definitely put it off way too long as usual.
  14. I was looking at the Bisons stats and Casey Lawrence has some pretty good results in 11 starts. I imagine he wouldn't be worse than this shitshow
  15. Is Ross Stripling currently the Jays' best starter? He has been outstanding in 3 of the past 4 outings........
