Welcome new moderator Laika. The mods and I have discussed and think he would be a great addition to the site. We're trying to take steps to clean up some of the crap around here. Too many arguments are getting carried over into other posts.

baseball arguments getting carried over to other threads? If so, is that necessarily a problem?

Not sure when in July you showed up, but we had major non baseball arguments spill over into almost every thread. While there are some carry over feuds from it we are trying to keep it as baseball related as possible.

 

And welcome Laika!

thanks for clarifying. I do know about the issues with politics/current events arguments, so I got the picture. Laika seems like a good member and will be a good mod ! :)

Like mentioned, too many personal 'feuds' ruining good threads. We need to stop that so people continue to post.

Laika probably triples the collective IQ of the current mod group but I do worry about his authoritarian tendencies. I won't be surprised if we all have to pledge allegiance to the church of Andrew Friedman by this time next year and have to start paying monthly dues to post here.

Never know how someone acts when given Central Committee powers. I would reserve judgement.

 

Hopefully they don't act on frivolous and malicious reporting of posts
