That guy’s ultra competitive. His wrist might have to break right off to take him out of the lineup again. He was probably foaming at the mouth watching Bonifacio play in his place.

Aaron Judge homered today for the first time this season, I think.

'Bout time.

I didn't get involved in last month's discussion of extending Giles, FYI

Stop obsessing over my every post.

Yeah, god forbid you face scrutiny for saying stupid things

No doubt you will continue your bully boy act when you disagree with something

Anyone else watching the Padres / Dodgers? What is this looper Stripling is throwing 50% of the time? Not a knuckler, but knuckler speed.

Knuckle curve?

Probably an Eephus. Kershaw throws it too.

I didn't see the pitch, but an eephus is a surprise pitch that you can throw once or twice, not 50% of the time.

That's what I thought, but it is effective enough he's throwing it 3x in a row in some cases and the Padres can't even get wood on it. Maybe the knuckle curve Spanky mentioned.

If you get a chance to see a velocity, I'd expect a knuckle curve to be closer to 70, with an eephus more in the high 40s or 50s.

How loopy are we talking about here? According to baseballsavant he's thrown a knuckle curve for 18 pitches of his pitches, roughly about the same frequency as the fastball, and it's averaged 79 mph, as low as 77.

From watching Stripling before he usually throws his fastball around 90-92 with his knuckle curve around high 70s and will mix in one or two other secondaries.

Some pitchers also throw a slow curveball like Greinke which he throws with some frequency usually around 68-72 mph.

You can take way off a knuckle curve, I did all the time,

probably that high curve ball above the belt that he learned from Rich Hill.

Every time I tune into an Astros game they bring out a parade of relievers I've never heard of.

Mike Trout rapidly making it up to fantasy owners with a quiet 2 HR performance last night (overshadowed in a loss by Kyle Seagers big game)

Ohtani homers opposite field in his first AB since being declared done for the year pitching wise.

Full time hitter for 2 months

Can't wait to see what he can do

Dylan Bundy complete game, 10K, 4H, 0 BB against the M's. Gave up a tater to Vogie.

He's been excellent this season in all three of his starts. I'm rooting for him now that he's away from the Orioles, and god knows the Angels could use him healthy and pitching to his potential.
