TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Feel like this is going to be looked back on as the first big domino to fall in a series of major opt outs till the season is eventually cancelled.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Not enough reason yet to suspend the season. The Marlins should be punished by forfeiting all of the suspended games (win for other team), but solely for the purpose of the 2021 draft order, the games forfeited also count as a Marlins win. Let that be a lesson to every other team.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Shane Bieber has 1.1 fWAR through two starts.

With the news on Eduardo Rodriguez I don’t blame them. The risk to reward scale tilts more unfavourable hour by hour.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Ok, you hate Osuna. What does that have to do with him having arm discomfort? He's happy to hear it and just needed to hear his name brought up to give him an excuse to show it.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Not accusing Votto of faking but it would be very smart if a player just faked having symptoms and took their bags and went home, still got paid.
philly30 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 So now you don't even have to test positive to be removed, just have a cough or cold?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 So now you don't even have to test positive to be removed, just have a cough or cold? It sounds like Votto removed himself because he was worried about potentially infecting his teammates.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Hopefully he’s found safe and in good health soon.

For 99% of the Astros, I hope they get humiliated on the field as much as possible, but keep it on the field - them getting hurt is going too far. Osuna is the one single exception - I don't feel the slightest bit bothered by him getting hurt, to put it mildly. I hope that they're able to find him and that everything is okay with him. I'd imagine this probably isn't a Darryl Kile situation since they'd probably have checked his hotel room by now. I just hope that this is something we can laugh at afterwards, like another D-Rose situation where he just took off and didn't tell anyone. Edited August 2, 2020 by Swervin81

Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 I'm glad he's safe... you never know with Nightengale, but I doubt even he would tweet out something way off about something that serious. I'm still curious as to where he is. Is this really just another D-Rose situation?
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 I'm kinda hoping the Astros win many World Series now. They are slowly becoming my second favourite team. The whinebags who think they are morally superior by pointing out the flaws in others and wishing for pain, failure and embarrassment online would have their heads explode.
