So he's a tool for promoting his own music? Jesus Christ.

I can't stand him, he's a whiny cocky little self indulgent diva. The Jays should definitely not extend him, smallish pitchers don't exactly have a good track record for maintaining velocity as they hit their 30s. Hope for a nice start to the season then flip him at the deadline.

If Stroman was white I'd have to issues with anything he does off the field.

But yeah you shitbags are getting high on him again. Don't you know the rules? When you piss all over the little big mouth he performs well. When you call him an ace pitcher he goes out there and pitches a bag of turds. He has gotten his energy to win off of social media hate and doubt his whole career, since this board has been calling him to be too small to be a starter when he was in AA. Even the stuff he doesn't read and know about.

You mean Stroman has a degenerative knee condition that no one knows about?

No, it is a generality, not a specific ailment. Stroman is one of only a handful of MLB pitchers under 5'10. (not comparing this part to 6' RR). Pedro Martinez is really the only shorty I can recall having a long and successful career as a MLBSP. Stroman had shoulder fatigue and various ailments last year. Then he had the whole ACL thing.. Stroman's career track was somewhat similar as to Ricky Roe Roe first few years and then slowly regressing prior to a complete melt down (Stroman has not had that yet, but he appears to be regressing). Stroman had a bad year last year in totality. His D didn't help, on many occasions, but it was regression.

We all found out about Rickey's knees after the fact and after we kept on throwing him out there. HDMH is great, but the body (small frame) can only stand up to so much without drugs.. Which Stroman was already busted for once.

I hope he does great for more than a month or two. Does his performance last year give me hope he can put in a WHOLE good season.. No..

Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports that the Blue Jays have made Sergio Romo a contract offer.

Advice: Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports first reported last week that the Jays were interested in Romo. Morosi adds that the Twins and Rangers have shown interest in the veteran reliever on a minor league deal. Romo posted a 4.14 ERA and 75/20 K/BB ratio in 67 1/3 innings for the Rays last season.

Who do you think gets bumped off 4O man if he signs.. I know many will say Pompeo, but he has shown the ability to not get kicked off the island time and time again..

I wouldn't discount the possibility of bumping Morales. They do want to go with youth, and it would open up a lot of flexibility.

I'd be surprised if the Jays sign any RP's to big league deals at this point. Spring Training will be easier to clean up some 40 man roster spots.

I sooooo hope you are correct... Though I doubt we are that lucky..

So the guys they sent is very interesting.. I honestly don't feel that they are going to send a guy to this, with limited slots and what it represents, unless they feel the player has a legitimate shot long term on the ML roster... It appears they hold Espinal, Rowdy, Reese and Davis in higher regard than some of you on this board..

My gut tells me they didn't send Vlad because he is too fat and they didn't want to risk the injury.. Surprised Biggio wasn't there..

Morosi's the worst... lol

The Blue Jays have shown interest in veteran reliever Sergio Romo, Fancred Sports’ Jon Heyman tweeted earlier this week. Romo is close to signing a new contract, as per Heyman’s earlier reports, though the mystery team may not necessarily be Toronto, as multiple clubs have been engaged in pursuit of the right-hander. Romo, who turns 36 next month, posted a 4.14 ERA, 3.75 K/BB rate, and 10.0 K/9 over 67 1/3 innings for Tampa Bay last season, which included 25 saves and five “starts” as the Rays’ opener. It isn’t out of the question that the Jays could also look to deploy Romo as an opener, given the number of young arms in Toronto’s starting mix as well as the veterans (Aaron Sanchez, Marcus Stroman, Clayton Richard, Matt Shoemaker) who carry some injury-related question marks. It’s probably more likely, however, that the Jays see Romo as an experienced bullpen addition, in the same vein as their signings of Seunghwan Oh, J.P. Howell, and Joe Smith in the last two offseasons. By that same ilk, Romo could also become a trade chip for Toronto by midseason.

So what he is saying is that Toronto could sign him or a bunch of other teams lol. Great scoop by him.

Morosi uses the Jays as clickbait due to its large social media presence. That's it.

Much like Keith Law, he should be erased from being cited as a source.

Is it just me or was there really not much flutter to those KB's in that video. Maybe the camera angle affects how we view it coming out of a lefties hand.

For some reason I don't have the video feature but here is the lefty knuckleballer in action - https://youtu.be/Td0NsqXfYx0

You can convert a video to a GIF and insert it as a photo though, like so:
