You should make a GDT

I'm s*** at making threads. TL use to make a good one that was updated with who we took and players available.

If I made one I would just spam the OP with Spencer Jones and Will Holland reports.

From Sportsnet draft primer-

TOP CANADIAN DRAFT PROSPECTS

Dasan Brown (Oakville, Ont)

Some scouts have given Brown’s speed an 80 on the 20-80 scouting scale, so it’s possible he’ll go within the first two rounds. Brown now plays outfield for the Canadian Jr. National Team, but has committed to Texas A&M for college.

Jake Sanford (Cole Harbour, N.S.)

With a .398 average and .483 on-base percentage, Sanford has excelled at the plate for Western Kentucky University. The outfielder has 20 doubles and 22 home runs through 56 games, reinforcing his status as a bat to watch.

Josh Burgmann (Nanaimo, B.C.)

The right-hander has impressed in 79 innings at the University of Washington, posting a 3.99 ERA with 101 strikeouts compared to 22 walks.

Edouard Julien (Québec, QC)

Two years ago the Phillies took Julien in the 37th round. This time, he has a chance to go much higher. The infielder has a .371 on-base percentage and eight home runs at Auburn, where he’s a draft-eligible sophomore.

Jake Sanford

Western Kentucky OF

Notes:

Ht: 6-2 | Wt: 215 | B-T: ---

Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted

Scouting Report: Sanford is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound outfielder who put up gaudy numbers this spring in Conference USA. Through 56 games, Sanford posted a .398/.483/.805 line with 22 home runs and 20 doubles. Sanford has plenty of strength and plus-plus raw power, though there are scouts who question how much of that power he can get to against better pitching. Prior to his junior season with Western Kentucky, Sanford had two impressive offensive seasons with McCook (Neb.) JC and he doesn’t have much wood bat track record to speak of. Sanford is fringey defensively, as a below-average runner with a below-average arm that will limit him to left field or first base, putting plenty of emphasis on his bat.

Canadian boy who just had a historical season in the AtlSun league. Wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him in the 3rd or 4th round.

Corbin Carrol or Spencer Jones please and thank you

Why do you do this with prospects? Weird fetishes

Anyone got Keith Law's latest mock draft? I want to know who he likes (i.e. who the Jays should stay away from). ;)

He has us on Jackson Rutledge and being in on other college pitchers.

Pitching class seems weak, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to go pitching if basically everyone is going position players early. Draft seems deep enough to get some position players in the 2nd and 3rd.

Yeah I guess we will have to see how picks 1-10 shake out.

Wow, they have barrell speed and exit velo for high school hitters?

I'm about to go down a rabbit hole now

Are you still in said hole?

Name - Exit Velo - 60 yrd time

Hinds - 101 - 7.09

Baty - 101 - 7.23

Witt - 100 - 6.40

Greene - 100 - 6.62

Carroll - 97 - 6.33

Hampton - 96 - 6.44

Lugo - 95 - 6.46

Jones - 95 - 6.76

Callihan - 94 - 7.08

Abrams - 93 - 6.29

Henderson - 93 - 6.87

Paris - 91 - 6.82

Nunez - 90 - 6.28

------2018 class------

Notable: PG event averaged 2 mph lower exit velocity than 2019 class

Kelenic - 96 - 6.57

Gorman - 95 - 7.00

Casas - 95 - 7.15

Naylor - 92 - 6.62

Groshans - 90 - 6.65

Seigler - 90 - 7.08

Scott - 87 - 7.00

So far so good for last year's exit velocity standouts. (Casas sports a .503 SLG but strikes out a bit much at 26%)

94.18% percentile barrell speed as well. Carroll can hit, plus he'll be a better defender than Baty. 70 grade speed as well.

Sign me up. I really hope he falls to us. He's been tied to the Braves as well.
