Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Huge dinger by Grandy and some great pitching, gotta love it
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Win and hr off oday. Another good night!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 f*** the Orioles man. This one feels good after a stressful night.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Osuna hasn't quite been up to his standards but no one gives a s*** because we beat the f***ing Orioles again! Not a lot of swing and miss. But Osuna is throwing a lot of challenge pitches as well. Here’s hoping he can start wracking up some strikeouts soon though.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 How the hell was that pitch to Davis called a foul ball? lol. Man umps are scary in close games. Grandy is awesome.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 So Sanchez allegedly was throwing slower on purpose to command his stuff better...and yet he had 4 walks (+1 IBB) and 4 strikeouts lol. Imagine if he was throwing 97 and not commanding, 10 walk night.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Why is the translator there? Osuna has always spoken perfect English. He seems like a nice guy.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Its April 10th and the Blue Jays already have as many wins as they did in April last year. FeelsGoodMan
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 If our starting pitching stays healthy, it's going to be a fun year.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Sanchez is the luckiest pitcher in the mlb.......... LOL I'll never understand the hate for Sanchez The guy has dynamite stuff and is a BLUE JAY
Smokinitup420 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Helluva game guys! Was getting excited to see my first no hitter for the jays, but at least we got the win, team looks pretty good this year, hope they all stay healthy, let's sweep these o's tomorrow!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Blue Jays Win!!!!!!! Osuna Matata!!!!!!!!!!
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Why all the Sanchez hate? I'd rather have him in throwing 92 with the movement on all his pitches than have Oh in this situation. Were the f*** do you see anyone hating Sanchez? Jesus you are an awful poster. Awesome game to win, Jays have been on the other side of that many times.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Most Saves in AL Since Start of 2015: #BlueJays Osuna - 100 #Indians Allen - 98 #Orioles Britton - 98 #Rays Colome - 85 #Yankees Robertson - 85

Allen is the only real comparable. Oh.. and saves are stupid.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 What an amazing game from Sanchez!!!!!! Hitting his spots, changing speeds, going up, down, in, out. If he works his curve a little more might have a bunch more Ks. I truly believe the crappy scorekeeper got in his head. If that hit was ruled an error like a competent person would rule, I think Sanchez doesn't get mad, stays on point and finished......maybe next time!!!!

I do think if he sorts out the CH a bit more, then creates a better mix with all 4 pitches, the K's could ramp up. The CU and high FF should still be his go to pitches for strikeouts, but maybe he's trying to get the right feel and break for the CH early in the year?

I saw where Walker and Martin thought they were using it too much early and are going to find a happy spot with the amount of usage

K let's calm down...if we faced a pitcher who had that same kind of start, we'd be ripping our hair out if the Jays didn't absolutely destroy him. Lucky and good are not the same thing. He walked 5 guys ffs.

The important thing now is that he has four above average pitches to go with. I trust Russ Martin to sort it out eventually and make the most of this new ability.

I don't think we have enough of a sample to say the 4-seam is above-average, and the curve while seemed like a plus pitch in 2016 has completely abandoned him, he's neither getting swings and misses with it nor is he commanding it at all. I'd say his sinker is above-average (with plus-plus potential) when he's throwing it 95-98 like on most nights just purely on its velocity and movement combo, and his changeup has good potential to be above-average, but right now he does not have more than two pitches going for him at the same time, and his command has been awful.
