Which tool or pitch on the Jays would you pick? Let's say this season only. Heard this on a podcast and thought it might be fun to try out.

Making Kendrys Morales a 70 speed player was joked about on the pod but that might actually not be a terrible move. You could play him in LF and he'd become one of the best baserunners after being one of the worst. His hitting would be so much better too.

How about giving Vladdy Jr. 70 grade speed?

Oh, didn't see this season only. Giving Estrada a 70 grade fastball would be interesting, but I'd probably have to go with giving Pillar a 70 hit tool.

The answer is pretty clearly 70 power for a decent player without a whole lot of power. Pillar?

Pillar doesn’t have the hit tool to actualize 70 raw though. It would be a wasted investment, maybe.

I think vlad with 70 fielding might be more important that speed

Kendrys 70 speed might be a consideration. He could play LF, his hitting numbers would be much improved as any GB is no longer an automatic out and he'd become a very good baserunner after being one of the worst. The WAR improvement would be pretty damn big.

What about pitchers? I guess you'd want to find the starter who has the shittiest 3rd pitch and make it a 70?

or like Sanchez with 70 command?

Giving Estrada a 70 grade fastball combined with his wicked change would make him completely unhittable.

Grichuk or Teoscar Hernandez with 70 hit would be interesting. Both just need to make more contact. Already have good power. They might end up being like Aaron Judge. Still strike out 150-200 times, but will hit a ton of home runs. Walks will also go up since they'll be pitched around.

Alford with 70 hit would be awesome too. That would be prime McCutchen.

I'd say give Pillar a 70 eye but I suppose scouts put that under the hit tool so I'd say that.

I know it's for this season, but give Danny Jansen 70 power and he's probably a top 5 prospect in baseball, good enough to replace Martin by May.

He's not very good so that wouldn't be all that helpful.

To be fair if you gave Tulo 70 health he probably wouldn't be this bad, as most of his struggles are probably explained by his extensive injury history. He'd probably be JD-lite with a clean bill of health.

Stroman 70 Humbleness

I literally just came in here to post this haha.

But I agree with Org. Attitude is Stroman, not like he'd turn into another Halladay

Stroman wasn't happy about his 76 overall rating reveal for MLB the show 18'

Was he really given that? Because that's an egregious rating for him.
