  1. Is it finally time to bat Spinger leadoff again?
  2. I would be ecstatic with something like a 3/54 deal...preferably with a team option and buyout. He's been solid all year and seems unaffected by stickygate.
  3. This is hilarious (and bang on!). Thank you for this.
  4. I (for once) have to agree with Stro. With him and Sanchez leading this staff the pitchers certainly don't have anybody to show them the way to be real professionals!
  5. Didn't we technically have Jackson like 8 years ago? Thought he was a pretty decent starter then, remember questioning the quick flip at the time
  6. But does he have "the stuff"?
  7. Been thinking about this subject a bit lately and didn't really know where to post but here seems like a good spot.. What If the owners decided on a say 50mill salary cap? What would the players ACTUALLY do? I know they would strike but realistically after a season or two, they could be replaced. Would minor leaguers strike too? (Not super familiar with the last strike). If not teams could basically just turn their AAA into their major league team. I'd imagine guys making 50k a year would jump on 500k contracts. I know in Canada in order to break a union you basically have to shut the doors to the plant (5 years?) before you can hire scab workers but I dont believe such rules exist for pro sports leagues
  8. Just read this. So does this mean if we got somebody better he'll retire (please please please)? Or sit on his couch and collect his paychecks?
  9. 40games x 5 innings = 200innings I guess?
  10. I can understand if you were gunna sign a real long term deal ie. 6 or 7 years. But if he pitches well he can make more in 4 years with salary inflation and going for it then he would over 6 or 7 today dollars. Bet on yourself. If it's a bad bet you still got paid huge for a couple years.
  11. I've always been a huge Jim Hughson fan from back when he was the voice of the Vancouver Canucks on Sportsnet Pacific before he went national with HNIC. Loved listening to him do the CBC Jays games as well. Was sad at the time they stopped those and got stuck with Jamie and Pat for all games
  12. I literally just came in here to post this haha. But I agree with Org. Attitude is Stroman, not like he'd turn into another Halladay
  13. Early internet pornstars for 200 Alex.... I'm originally from BC and don't care about football period so it's not such a big deal. Impressive fan base and all diehards. My other team is the Canucks so to see fans so passionate, win or lose vs jays/canucks fans that very fickle/band wagoners is quite refreshing.
  14. Im with Bell. 6 gigs, unlimited everything else 65+ tax. The trick with Bell is only dealing with their loyalty dept. WAAAAYY better deals. I live SK currently and sasktel offers unlimited data (throttled after 10gigs) for around the same price. Or they had the 13th man plan (cuz everything has to be RoughRiders related here) which was 13 gigs unlimited everything else for 70
  15. This is an intresting article on the current trend of shifts but it makes me wonder.. As analytics lead to more and more pronounced shifts, at what point do they go to far? Example here being a left fielder is playing right field. Now when I fill out a lineup card theres only one left fielder, if hes in right field isnt he my right fielder? Moreso, if I play my whole outfield in the infield, do they qualify as infielders? I mean I understand defensive alignments but isnt this bastardizing the point of specific positions?
