So when do we start talking about what the Jays could get at the trade deadline for their vets? Between the news of Osuna, the starting rotation pitching like ass, and an offence that will play Morales everyday until the end of time, I’m not very confident right now.

This blue jays team needs to fix it's starting rotation.Starting with Marcus Stroman going back to the minors to find his pitches. Like Halladay did. Send some players to the minors like Devon Travis or release some.

Some of the jays prospects have no busy being with the team. Ones who are hitting like 150 in the minors and are hitting 150 with

the team. And looks like Justin Smoak was a one year wonder. So far Randal Grichuk has been a major disappointment. But new league different type of pitchers. more junk

The great irony with Stroman is that he is one of the most arrogant players in baseball, but he somehow lacks confidence with his stuff.

Just throw the fastball over the plate, man. Throw the four-seamer up in the zone as hard as you can. 60% of the time he seems to want to place the ball on the corner black like he's Johnny f***ing Cueto. It's very dumb - very few players can pitch like that. Stroman needs to go back to basics - just get ahead and then beat hitters with the breaking ball and power fastballs.

 

I don't think it's a loss of control, he just thinks he's better than he is at the art of pitching.

I hope they dont wait til the deadline. This team is exactly what we are seeing for the past ten days or so. It is not getting any better and I hope they get out in front of all the other teams that will be looking to trade and get younger.

Most teams are still feeling out what theyve got right now and aren't actively seeking trades. You can't force the market

It's also that a huge part of a team's focus right now is scouting for the upcoming draft. Trade talks generally don't heat up until late June at the earliest.
