Hopefully never again.

Your desire to see our players fail and the team lose is rather off-putting. I hope that we get Tulo back and he plays well.

I must not understand what the word 'hopefully' means.

Or it could very well mean, he does not want to see Darwin Barney playing for this team ever again.

Like, in the majors?

Yes hes starting the second game of the double header to take advantage of the 26th man and keep the rotation in order.

Odd choice after three off days in a row. I guess they didn't want anyone starting on 3 days rest vs. NY.

I assume it's to keep rest days in order for the next time through the rotation.

I wonder if any of the starters would be available to pitch out of the bullpen tonight due to them needing a bullpen session anyway.

Possibly but given how long between our last game and today all bullpen pitchers should be good to go today. Just hope we don't get into a 18 inning game (which we are now destined to have lol)

Baigini is the 26th man allowed for Double Headers.

Yeah why not too

Facing the worst offense in the Majors?

I think the organization is a bit nervous about Stroman as well. They might not say it, but Barker made some great points on Baseball Central yesterday.

Can we get a quote? Barker typically doesn't make points - let alone good ones.

That said Stro hasn't looked sharp at all. I do wonder if his shoulder is bothering him. What did Barker suggest the organization has done to suggest they are worried?

Barker didn't say anything about the organization. He was basically talking about Stromans delivery, and how he appears to be labouring at the mound. The exact quote was

"He don't seem right" (Or something like that)

you can have a listen at the daily central podcast from yesterday, I listen everyday

I disagree, I think Barker knows a lot about baseball.

You're right, that is a real insightful observation by Barker. The kind of intelligent, eloquent stuff we expect from him.

It's possible he knows a lot about baseball, but listening to him talk about it certainly isn't evidence of that.

I can't say for sure about Barker, but I have accepted that Pat Tabler knows a lot more about hitting than I give him credit for. He's really in tune with pitch selection and swing mechanics. Some guys just can't get it out in an intelligent manner.

Those guys should stay the f*** out of the broadcast booth.

I'd love it if you started a thread and posted all the brilliant things you hear Barker say that's suggests he knows anything about baseball.

Exactly if someone is trying to make the case for Barker actually being smart about Baseball just has a problem articulating it to other people. Hes in the wrong line of work. Its his job to be able to be able to explain Baseball to people lol.

I have no idea how he continues to get promoted. Hazel Mae has some serious pull at Sportsnet.

Thank god its against KC. Dont want Biagini starting against any other team, except maybe the Rays

You're probably going to be disappointed a lot this year.

That's pretty much Tabby on the button, though I'm not sure "intelligent manner" is the right phrase. He just doesn't speak in the way our demographic needs to take in information.

I don't care about players thighs and how big they are.

In his defense, he played on the same team as Bo Jackson. Tabby still dreams about those thunder sticks

He's awful, and he's banging Hazel Mae (presumably) who I still find very, very hot.

I am old, too so it's not gross.

You don't.

Because he will fail, and with any luck none of us will have to watch it happen. I'm thinking of all of us.
