glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Goins BABIP will be .380 next season.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Royals new leadoff hitter.
Mavcarter Verified Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 The sportsnet comment section won't like this one
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 This reminds me that while doing a speech at Winterfest, Stro was talking about how Goins misses the Jays fans and how they traveled together and sucked each other off all offseason.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Former Blue Jay Ryan Goins has signed a MILB deal with the Royals. Stroman will be a Royals fan now
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Vlad Guerrero, Jim Thome, Trevor Hoffman and Chipper Jones elected to the HoF.
Ray Verified Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 2018 Hall of Fame inductees: - Chipper Jones (1st ballot, 97.2%) - Jim Thome (1st ballot, 89.8%) - Vladimir Guerrero (2nd ballot, 92.9%) - Trevor Hoffman (4th ballot, 79.9%) Edgar fell short at 70.4%, 20 votes shy Mussine fell short at 63.5%, 49 votes shy
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Here's the official voting for this year.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Walker doubled his percentage. Voters are wising up to him at least. Schilling continues to be punished for his political views. Edgar has a good chance now too.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I can't see walker getting inducted with only 2 more cracks. Even though he deserves to. Stupidity of the voting process aside, good to finally see Bonds, Clemens, Mussina and Edgar picking up voting steam.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Lol i wonder who voted for Carlos Lee.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Omar Vizquel with more votes than Manny Ramirez, Gary Sheffield, Scott Rolen, Sammy Sosa and Andruw Jones. f*** off
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Lol @ Hoffman over Rolen, Bonds, Edgar, Schilling, Walker. Why? Lots of Savez? Its so sad that the f***ing retarded BBWAA get to be the gatekeepers. Lol looked it up and Scott Rolen has nearly 20 WAR on Guerrero. Sad!

I don't understand what the case against Rolen is from these dinosaurs. Really good hitter with some great offensive seasons, and is one of the best 3B defenders ever, with Gold Gloves for days. It seems like a no-brainer to vote for him.

Except when they decide that it does and elect f***ing Omar Vizquel.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Met Chipper twice...both times he was a douchebag. Pretty much makes every D-Bag list out there (may not have been caught cheating in baseball but did on his wife, supported John Rocker, supported the Chop with incredibly racist comments) but he makes first ballot when others are held back because of supposedly not being good people (Alomar comes to mind). No argument that he deserves to be there. Just hate the BBWAA and their moral high ground until it's a good ole' white boy.

Vizquel gets more love than him because why? He played SS and Rolen played 3B? Well Rolen was a really good hitter and Vizquel was a really bad hitter. Makes no sense.

Great defender but he wasn't the magician that Ozzie Smith was and hell even he was a better hitter. Scott Rolen was ridiculous, just as deserving of merit for his defense and much more for his offense.

I tend to agree but being a good ole' white boy isn't helping Curt Schilling.

He's like the goodest white boy you could think of, and he was also really good at baseball!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Rolen and Walker approx equivalent in value Walker 68.7 WAR in 1988 games Rolen 70.1 WAR in 2038 games Two guys that were the best at their position for years

Thome made it easily.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Thome on the first ballot. I thought they hated DHs. I can't even find consistency in the biases.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Still hoping Larry Walker gets in. But its looking bleak.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 8 voters thought Johnny Damon deserved to be in the HOF. There's a very good argument for those 8 people to lose their voting rights.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 It's funny that we don't even bother to mention that they left the two best players ever out. I'll use this to my platform now to say If you are going to consider Relief Pitcher a position (and I can buy arguments for or against) than Hoffman is among the 3 best ever IMO.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Thome on the first ballot. I thought they hated DHs. I can't even find consistency in the biases. Thome wasn't even a better hitter than Martinez, career or peak. The voters have no idea what they're doing.
