GodDonaldson Verified Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I'm heading to New York for my short vacation trip in late July, and I'm planning to watch both the Mets and the Yankees. I've been to the Yankee Stadium 5 years ago, but it will be my first time in the Citi Field. Of course I'm the Jays fan, but I buy a t-shirt with player's name on every time I go to other ballparks. So far I have 15. Pedroia (from Fenway Park) 17. Bryant (from Wrigley Field) 20. Donaldson 22. Kershaw (from Dodger Stadium) So here are my candidates Mets 1. 34. Syndergaard 2. 48. deGrom 3. 30. Conforto 4. 32. Matz Yankees 1. 24. Sanchez 2. 99. Judge 3. 19. Tanaka 4. 2. Jeter (If they still have it) I'm leading toward Aaron Judge for the Yanks, but I don't know who to buy for the Mets.. I like Syndergaard, but he is injured.. so I may buy deGrom. Whose t-shirt should I buy?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 f*** Jeter with a 40 ounce bat... Judge and Syndergaard get my votes

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Syndergaard >> Conforto Did you adjust for heartache metrics?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Jose Reyes is clearly the correct answer for the Mets. Kidding, Syndergaard all day long.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Did you adjust for heartache metrics? I don't know what this means, but have you seen Syndergaard's hair? Also, a healthy Thor is a top 3-5 pitcher in baseball, Conforto has a ways to go to reach elite status, let alone to be considered among the best at his position.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Save some money and get a classic RA Dickey Mets jersey.

I feel like we've been through this before but the hair is vastly overrated.

I meant as a Jays fan it hurts to be reminded of Thor so go with Conforto instead.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I feel like we've been through this before but the hair is vastly overrated. Sure, but when he throws 100 the flow just adds to the mound presence.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I vote you don't collect shirtseys
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I vote you don't collect shirtseys I vote you don't get a vote. Judge and Syndergaard or Conforto or Bobby Bonilla

AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Jose Reyes is clearly the correct answer for the Mets. Kidding, Syndergaard all day long. Pretty sure the Jose Reyes T-shirt is sleeveless. I forget what name they use for those shirts.

spats Verified Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Judge and Thor. Btw, Citi Field is one of my favourite parks...make sure you go to the Shake Shack concession behind the scoreboard for their famous shakes and burgers...little taste of Manhatten. Edited July 5, 2017 by spats
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I bought a Syndergaard t-shirt two years ago at Citi Field. I'd definitely get Thor's and right now probably Judge for sure.

MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Be more creative. Go Granderson and Castro or something like that.
TholesWeirdEye Verified Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Be more creative. Go Granderson and Castro or something like that. Agreed. Get 2 Darryl Strawberry jersey's.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I vote you stop posting. Screw you L54 - that's hurtful. My option is legit. If you're going to various ball diamonds and want a collectible, don't go with a t-shirt (unless you plan on hanging these or mounting them...in which case - get jerseys because this makes you look cheap). I'm going on a Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincy trip in early August and thus am also considering what souvenirs to get.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Tyler Clippard for both Curtis Granderson for both.
