baubau Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Bluebird Banter has a piece up on Danner: https://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2017/6/18/15825398/toronto-blue-jays-hagen-danner-mlb-draft-ucla-little-league-world-series Danner thinks otherwise. Despite his commitment to UCLA, he says it’s “very likely” that he signs with the Blue Jays. Nothing is official till he signs, but an encouraging statement.
metafour Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Nothing is official till he signs, but an encouraging statement. He wouldn't have been drafted if he wasn't signing.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 Neal lists himself on twitter as a member of the Blue Jays organization. I guess that means he's signed? Professional baseball player in @Bluejays Organization Rodning is also signing: "After their trip to Minaki, Rodning will hop on a plane in Winnipeg next Wednesday and head to Dunedin for a physical before signing with the Jays."
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Yessss DJ Neal is a really great signing. Probably will bust put there is actual upside.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Author Posted June 20, 2017 According to Davidi, Clemens signed below slot. Remains to be seen how much below.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Author Posted June 20, 2017 The Jays signed all of their selections from Round 3 through 11. Smith got slot ($405,100), Lundquist got way below slot ($125,000) and the rest of the numbers have yet to be released. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/237042574/2017-draft-signing-and-bonus-tracker/?topicid=151437456
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Author Posted June 20, 2017 And Clemens got way below slot:
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 And Clemens got way below slot: This was a given.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 This was a given. Because he suxx. That was a gift for his father for the 2 CY awards
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 MLB.com changed Lundquist's bonus from 125K to 175K. 10th rounder Dillon got only 5K. Noda, Tice, Kirwer, Gunter, Buffo, Watts and Reyes all signed. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/team/draft.jsp?c_id=tor DiBenedetto also signed. http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/237523802/blue-jays-sign-roger-clemens-son-kacy/
metafour Verified Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Colton Laws signs for slot (not surprising) and Logue only goes $14K under slot. Like I said, there wasn't going to be as much savings here as people had hoped.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Wow, big $$$ The frustrating thing is that we possibly had the money to do that. I really liked Carlson.
