They are one of the worst teams I have seen play baseball at the mlb level. And I've seen some bad Orioles teams

I'm pretty sure they will tank from here on out. Sell Donaldson. Sell Sanchez.

And Stro And Sanchez should go too. Martin and Pillar and Darwin Barney and Goins are the core they will be left to build upon.

Prophet weams.

Stick a fork in em. Any other division they might have a chance, but they have 3 very good (and at least one decent) teams ahead of them.

Whoa whoa whoa...is this guy counting the Orioles as a "very good team" for real?

Hahahahaha, delusional. I am going to enjoy the mountains of salt these retards are going to produce when they end up behind the Jays.

I also love how bad they want us to fail. Makes that sweet Edwin walk off so much sweeter.

I think theres a real shot we may finish behind Tampa and Toronto, and WE may be "done" before they are.

Lmao that thread is full of gems. Real life celebrity Roy Firestone is already throwing in the towel.

Hahahahaha

These idiots never learn. They have the shittiest team in the ALE (not close) and still love to run their mouths over tiny samples like the f***ing pea brained imbeciles they truly are.

What it is about Baltimore that produces this stuff? Does the entire city's water supply run through lead pipes? I just don't get it.

Might be all the guns that get dropped in the river to ditch evidence after their 5 million murders per year

So what is the fit for trading Manny Machado. They can still get a boatload for him now...but not if he keeps struggling all season. There are only a few places where he isn't a fit.

Mets, Boston are both huge fits.

Given our super bad start, Jays are still projected to finish ahead of the Oriloles.

aren't they projected to the 4th worst team in the AL for the rest of the season?

I remember last May Weams was on our board bragging about 1st place when we we're in 3rd or 4th. Some things never change

I hope he wasn't banned. I'd love to converse with the messiah himself.

The big question here should be is Machado done?

Put me down under the "no" column on that one.

Adam Jones on the other hand? He's done as a quality player, which makes me happy.

Lucky for him his career as a victim player is just getting started:

Yahoo: You’ve been as involved as any major league player when it comes to community-based youth programs. What can MLB do to get young kids – and particularly black kids – back into the game?

Jones: It’s bigger than just baseball. And this is what I believe: Baseball always has been a father-son game. You play catch with your dad-type game. The last 30 years, especially in California with the three-strike policy that Reagan and Bush – the three-strike policy in general – there aren’t as many black fathers out there to play catch. The mother is turned into a single mother. She doesn’t have the time, the energy, because she just worked a double. The availability of the parent is not there to play with the kid. The neighborhood is fine, but baseball is generally taught from father to son, even if the dad didn’t play. I just think that with the African-American father not as involved with the life of the kid – that’s way bigger than baseball. It’s real life tying into sports. You want to talk about baseball? To me, these are issues that are baseball.

What part of that is playing the victim?????

Black kids don't play baseball cuz Reagan and Bush. I agree with the father-son-catch connection but blaming the deadbeat dad phenomenon on Republican Presidents is lame.

EDIT: Also, there's been Clinton and Obama since then and yet the problem still remains? Oh, and isn't three strikes prison policy primarily the jurisdiction of the states? Not the Feds.

I think Jones raises some good points. For example, and since he brought up Presidents, Obama throws like a girl due in part because he didn't have a dad show him how to throw. But he's wrong about Reagan and Bush. It's not their fault that the three strike policy exists. It was Bill Clinton who is responsible for that one with his 1994 crime bill.

Felonies like petty theft with a prior and other non-violent crimes. Those people deserved to be locked up for life, right?

Maybe don't get 3 strikes . I don't have 1. No one in my family or in laws or any of our friends have one.

Nah - let's leave them in society to commit more crimes and groom future generations.

Full disclosure: I'm not educated on this matter at all. I suspect "research" suggests locking them away does have a negative effect on the cycle and I'm sure there are many cases of shoddy, bias police work that is unfairly locking people away for life (not that any system will be perfect). But that's a simple, general concept here. Don't commit felonies - instead, be a decent human being that's a constructive part of society. It's not like it's one and done. You get 3 chances not to be a douche - providing some buffer against the bias police, immaturity + stupidity.

I'm sorry, but if you steal from people on 3 separate occasions - f*** you, you're scum.
