Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yeah, there's nearly always a few weeks where he's the hottest hitter on the team too. Anyway his catching is what he's paid the big bucks for, if he hits it's a bonus. Luckily for us he's pretty decent at both
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 They can have that base. Just get this final out.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 He's not getting any borderline pitch at all.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Did Molina just steal 3B? Yeah they weren't holding him at all so he got a huge lead and a good jump.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yeah they weren't holding him at all so he got a huge lead and a good jump. Martin throwing 2' to the wrong side of the bag didn't help either.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 The NL giveth and the NL taketh away.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Good job by Latos to be careful with Wong. Would have been nice to get him out so Martinez had to lead off the third but with that runner in scoring position I'm not too bothered by the walk.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yeah they weren't holding him at all so he got a huge lead and a good jump. Haha that's awesome since it didn't come back to bite us.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 That pitcher has a mop on his head
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 This is a small-zone man, not good for us...
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm just tuning in, was unaware of Martinez's interesting hair.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 That pitcher has a mop on his head Yeah seriously what's up with that? I saw a few starts ago that he started wearing whatever that is on his head, that's definitely not his natural hair.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 OBP doesnt matter, you heard it here first folks.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Haha that's awesome since it didn't come back to bite us. Yeah I mean he can try it if he wants. He got the base but it didn't mean a ton and he risked ending the inning right there.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Nice couple of swings from Jose today. Hopefully that means the power will follow once he starts finding his timing.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Wtf was Piscotty doing? Bautista was a dead duck at third if he gave him a strong look.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Wtf was Piscotty doing? Bautista was a dead duck at third if he gave him a strong look. Lol Bautista runs with the confidence of a man much much faster than he actually is. That guy is really aggressive on the basepaths and it usually works out for him.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 This offense is turning a corner. I can feel it. Bautista and Martin look much better. Smoak isn't a complete disaster. Pillar having a nice year.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Nice couple of swings from Jose today. Hopefully that means the power will follow once he starts finding his timing. I've thought he's been putting better AB's together of late, it's coming around.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I've thought he's been putting better AB's together of late, it's coming around. Hitting .304 on this road trip.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Cy Latos. His velo looks a little bit up from the past couple of years.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Latos is seriously junkballing here but as long as a zero is maintained in the run column I'm not complaining.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Nice job by Latos thus far but can't count on it to continue, time to put some runs on the board.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Nice job by Latos thus far but can't count on it to continue, time to put some runs on the board. Gonna be hard considering Martinez isn't junk balling at all, and appears to still have another gear on his fastball if he needs it.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Carlos Martinez is really good. That arm is electric.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Nice couple of swings from Jose today. Hopefully that means the power will follow once he starts finding his timing. Has he brought his hands back up higher before getting his rhythm? or is that just me?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 This double header with these two shitbags starting both games is rough. I'd like to pull Latos somewhat soon but we need all the relievers we can get for both of these games.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 That ball boy should not have picked that up.
