G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Judge looks like a total boss on that cover
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 This is still so annoying and kinda degrading tbh. What, we won't buy the game unless there's a Blue Jay on it? I'd much rather have the Judge cover. "Canadians are really petty and shallow, just slap a Blue Jay on the cover or they won't recognize the player on the box." One of the many advantages of being "Canada's team", because apparently this franchise is entitled to the whole country and therefore all marketing of baseball to Canada must revolve around it. Hurry up and get the Expos back.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Judge looks like a total boss on that cover meanwhile we get the on-going StroShow HDMH, shhhhh talk is cheap bs on our cover. Just f***ing stand there and smile man.

Yeah. I'd almost prefer Goins on the cover. Stroman's a pretty good pitcher but he's the most obnoxious guy on the team, hard to root for him, personally.

Put a Blue Jay on the cover if he deserves to be on the cover in both countries, otherwise enough with this.

I buy video games through the Playstation Store anyway. Much rather download the game and not have to screw around with discs.

Man I urn for the day my kids are old enough to play video games like this. I haven't touched by PS3 since my first son was born 7 years ago. He's right at the age where I could probably introduce it to him - but honestly, I'm going to resist the urge and keep him away from video games as long as I can (knowing that he'll probably love them when he finally does get into them). At this point, I'd rather go play baseball with him outside...but I know playing video games WITH him is going to be awesome when we finally get to that point.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 So 9 guys got qualifying offers of 17.4M and have a week to respond Carlos Santana, Indians Mike Moustakas, Royals Eric Hosmer, Royals Lorenzo Cain, Royals Lance Lynn, Cardinals Alex Cobb, Rays Greg Holland, Rockies Jake Arrieta, Cubs Wade Davis, Cubs

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Yikes on the relief pitchers
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Yikes on the relief pitchers Boy, offering it to Wade Davis seems really risky with him coming off a shaky year.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Boy, offering it to Wade Davis seems really risky with him coming off a shaky year. Holland will probably decline bcuz saevez, but I don't think I'd have the balls to offer him one either. E: Errr, Davis had a 2.3 ERA and 32 saves. Probably not a huge risk to offer him a QO.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Yikes on the relief pitchers They should've accepted the moment they heard it, that's crazy money for relievers. They likely will.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Lol: Baltimore currently has nearly $62MM committed to just four players in 2018: first baseman Chris Davis, center fielder Adam Jones, DH Mark Trumbo and setup man Darren O’Day. The payroll is projected by MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz to balloon by another $55.1MM following a sizable slate of arbitration raises to another seven players, highlighted by Manny Machado and Zach Britton. In all, the O’s look to be on the hook for just under $127MM in 2018 before so much as spending a single penny this winter. How to run a franchise by almost Jays president Dan Duquette. 127 million and the only player worth the money is Machado. Whenever you feel down about the Jays, just remember that at least we aren't the Oriloles. They also have the luxury of a bottom tier farm. Sidenote, I'm really glad Adam Jones sucks now. He's such a doosh.

They'll sign three s***** starters and somehow be leading the division in July with a negative run differential. I'm done trying to figure those bastards out.

They're the only team taking blue collar metrics into account.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I hope they sign Cashner and Vargas. We all know what will happen. They'll sign three higher end guys quickly and get a bunch of fan excitement and tickets sold, then back out of the contracts when the physicals come in.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Rangers can offer the most money to Otani...if the first year of his contract matters to him (I don't see why it does) Rangers have a small edge. https://www.thescore.com/news/1417331
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I wonder how many years that is? does it really matter? For 50 years or 4 years...it's too much for a guy that isn't even a top 35 over the 4 years of his breakout.
