L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Why you care though? Why does the score matter Because most people reserve emotions like that for big time situations. The old adage - act like you've done it before.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Nola has now given up 2 or fewer runs in 7 straight starts, with 60 k's over that period.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 lol stanton giving it back to grilli: https://www.mlb.com/video/stantons-solo-moonshot/c-1655376383 Lol....he that giveth must also taketh.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Phillies return for Neshek could be a comparable for Smith?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Phillies return for Neshek could be a comparable for Smith? I'd be a bit surprised. Neshek hasn't hit the DL since 2010 and Joe Smith was just hurt.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Dan Jennings to the Rays for Casey Gillaspie.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Dan Jennings to the Rays for Casey Gillaspie. IMO that's a really, really nice deal for the White Sox.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Why you care though? Why does the score matter Because he's an idiot for showing up the other team like that in a blowout. And it's not like its a one time thing - Grilli seems to do that after every inning he pitches regardless of the score. So when Stanton hits a HR like that off him in a blowout, I don't have a problem with him pumping his fists and mocking Grilli because he deserves it.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Dan Jennings to the Rays for Casey Gillaspie. High price for Jennings, wow.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Dan Jennings to the Rays for Casey Gillaspie. Wow what a great deal for the White Sox.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 This looks like nothing for nothing, am I missing something?
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Dan Jennings to the Rays for Casey Gillaspie. Another 1B prospect (term used loosely) traded for a s***** reliever. Throw it on the Dan Vogelbach pile
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 This looks like nothing for nothing, am I missing something? Abom is a huge Gillaspie fanboy
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 High price for Jennings, wow. Gillispie is 24 and has been awful this year though. Every aspect of his game took a step backwards.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Abom is a huge Gillaspie fanboy I wouldn't got THAT far, but they basically gave up a run-of-the-mill reliever for a guy who could be a solid, everyday position player. Maybe he never does, but it's not like they lost anything of consequence.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I'm off to Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincy next week for a guys baseball trip. I was wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations on where to (and where not to) sit at any of those stadiums. Also, if anyone has any recommendations on places to go or places to eat on any of those Cities - that would be the tits. Bump

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Nats were 15-1 up on the Brewers after 4 innings. Now in the 7th with the same scoreline.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Bump I have no advice but enjoy! Sounds like a blast
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Drew Smith seems like a terrible return for Duda.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Drew Smith seems like a terrible return for Duda. Isn't Duda a FA after this season?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Isn't Duda a FA after this season? Yeah, but a ~24 year old reliever who has thrown like 5 innings above high A with some inconsistent command seems like a rather light return. He has gotten good results, but still. That's the type of return I'd expect for Liriano or Estrada right now.

He has gotten good results, but still. That's the type of return I'd expect for Liriano or Estrada right now. It's been a weird market for hitters thus far. JD Martinez didn't go for much and he was probably the best power bat available (not named Stanton).
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I was offered Duda for Norris... I have Abreu/Thames and Joseph...great offer!

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Huge 4 game series between the Yankees and the Rays kicking off in a few minutes. This should be great.
