fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Can't be surprising he throws 60% of the balls gimped. No I know but the WORST? Worse than even Revere?? This guy was throwing guys out from deep RF thats a huuuugee drop

Him coming back and Edwin leaving and him having a better year than Edwin would be incredible.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Sportsnet literally had a commercial about his arm last spring saying he was working on his velocity in the off-season lol. Honestly though I feel bad for Jose. Thanks tips, I feel bad for him too.

This guy was throwing guys out from deep RF thats a huuuugee drop Among the worst... still, from one of the strongest arms to one of the worst is a massive drop. It must be mashed potatoes in that shoulder.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Bautista is going to show up to spring training fat as hell with the amount of humble pie he has been eating this off-season.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 lol Lmao I think he hates Shapiro and the new regimen
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Who'd a thunk, you act like an @$$hole and you will have a hard time finding a job. Jose was a good player, but I never liked him as a blue Jay. Too much with the umpires and then he wrecks his arm being an asshat.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Jose is getting f***ing destroyed out there. I still think he gets something decent, but wow. I will be shocked if Jose comes back here at this point though. Pride probably being the biggest deterrent. Barely related: Who is the biggest assface when it comes to burning a bridge of money in hopes of finding more elsewhere and then screwing it all up? Off the top of my head, Ian Desmond turning down a nice chunk of cash from the Nationals, having a terrible walk year, then signing a 1-yr with the Rangers to play the OF. (Now he has a nice deal with the Rox, but it's still ultimately less and he couldn't have anticipated it two years ago.) Scherzer rolled the dice too when Detroit offered him a fat stack of cash, but IIRC that was midway into an excellent walk year.

Bats has a way worse reputation than Desmond and his comments from last spring followed by his season are exactly why you shut up and play baseball. Never liked JB19, good player who thought he was bigger than the game. Karma...

I think he turned down a $100M extension. But the Giants inexplicably gave him a $35M extension anyway when he didn't deserve it down the road so he didn't suffer. Should have lost out on $75M though!

I fi remember correctly Scherzer was smart about it though and insured his arm lol. If he got an arm injury he was going to get a nice chunk of change for it.
SweetSmellingChacin Verified Member Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 If the money makes sense, it would be awesome for JB to retire a BJ. He actually makes more sense than EE at this point (cheaper, less years on contract, can play OF)

He turned down a QO from Boston of $14M, and couldn't get a deal until AFTER opening day. The deal? 1 year/$11M from BOSTON, lmao
