Do you guys like Mr. Sub? There is one right by my grandma's up in TO so any time I visit I usually stop there out of convenience once. I think it's pretty solid. They at least keep them really clean which is nice but not always the case with Subway.

I go to Mr. Sub probably 80% of the time. It's a hair closer and I've got to know the staff quite well. It's 100% more friendly environment.

It's a big chain. Wouldn't the "friendly environment" be totally dependent on the franchise owner + staff?

Yes I was referring specifically to that the location I go to. Though I've also never been to a Mr. Sub that was packed like a subway. It's like comparing A&W to McDonalds.

Of the Sub chains I find Quiznos is the best hands down. In the US Firehouse is really good too.

I find Quiznos really depends on the location. The one near us is run terribly. At one point they replaced the standard white, seeded bread with their own plain Italian bread for about 6 months (probably until complaints or inspection) and I swear it didn't even taste like Quiznos. We get quiznos coupons in the newspaper each month or two and they refuse to even accept them. It's a horribly run franchise so I just refuse to go there now. I will say any other location has been top notch goodness though.

I got food poisoning from the Quiznos on Queen a few years ago. Havent been back to that location since, but I love the other ones.

 

Firehouse subs just came to Canada, they just put one in London im pumped. That place is godly

I don't mind subway, occasionally I'll grab a 6 inch chicken onion teriyaki, but I definitely prefer quiznos here. The location here is really well run and puts out really great sandwiches.

 

I haven't seen a Firehouse out my way yet I think they're still just in Ontario

+1 for Subway being terrible. At least in Toronto there's so many Burrito Boyz, Chipotole, Fat Bastard options for pretty much the same price and the food taste fresh.
