My AL votes (cause they count)

1B - Moreland

2B - Pedroia (could go Kinsler, it's pretty equal...but I like to see Grant upset)

SS - Lindor, again close enough that if they give it to Simmons I won't rant...Tulo really should have been the 3rd on the ballot though)

3B - Beltre...always Beltre.

LF - Rasmus...half the innings which might hurt him

CF - Pillar No Doubter

RF - Betts. Can't go wrong with him or Eaton.

P - Tanaka but he's not on the ticket. So Kuechel.

C - Perez, always Sal Perez.

They didn't seem to do too badly in the AL this year...but what a f***ing travesty that Colon won't win the NL.

Lol, Eric Hosmer will probably win another gold glove despite being a terrible first baseman.

-20 defensive value this year.

The guy has no range at all. Edwin is a better defender.

Defense includes positional adjustment. -8.4 UZR, -6 DRS

What the f*** happened to Joey Votto's defense though? He rated as the worst defender BY FAR by DRS and was equally terrible by UZR/150.

Has he gone full Bautista with his D?

He needs to come DH for us. Use his terrible defense as a selling point and make Cincy eat a pile of the $$$.

He said he would retire if he was playing bad. Wouldn't be a bad idea. Would rather have him than Edwin next year. Worry about the money later. I think he would stick to what he said, would rather retire than embarrass himself Edited by Mittens87

Really want Pillar to win

Prefer they just gave it to Kiermaier will only raise his arbitration prices if he wins. And maybe he comes back with a chip on his shoulder and hits a little bit as well!

It's nice to see guys get rewarded for doing great things.

or a chip out of his shoulder for running into the CF wall again.

This isn't how it works, Jonn.

Sure it does!

No, it doesn't, even the GG wouldn't move the needle that much with concerns to his bat.

Why is dickey even in the discussion?

Serious question..

You could easily argue that he's the best fielding pitcher in the league and has been for a long time. The better question is why don't you think he deserves the award?

Casual fan, man. FIP busters continue to beat it by defense, trick pitches(knuckleball), and pinpoint control.(Beuhrle, Keuchel, etc...) RA9 is out there to measure these facts.

Proof of this? Or do you just assume it raises his price irrationally?

I think that awards may have an influence in arbitration. That's not a crazy thought.
